Thank man, just finished a brake job on a 2017 F150 and parking brake lesson was key.
Hell yeah good job brother
They want 270 bucks here in Canada to do rear pads that doesn’t include pads or rotors thank you for saving me a bunch of money.😊
Thank you for your video. Very informative. I did not watch any video before starting the rear brake pad change. I did not know about putting the e-brake maintenance mode. I learned to watch a RUclips video before doing anything.
Thank you. It made it so easy for a rookie like me to replace the brake pads and rotors.
Glad it helped
Sure it was easy he forgot half the steps, wasn’t sure and kept backpedaling because he left out steps. I watch 7-8 videos and this was the worst.
Only video I've found that has actually helped. Thanks!
Glad it helped
Replace the dam battery in the smoke detector then replace the brakes 😅
Worked like a champ! I have a steering wheel puller that works on the caliper. Thanks.
Thanks, had no idea about the electric parking brake
Caliper bolts are torqued to 27 ft lbs, lug nuts to 100 ft lbs.
Lol hittin it with your purse. Preciate how to put the parking brake in maintenance mode. I’ve done pads / rotors on cars without e brake and never had to do that.
You the man..very helpful
🎉Thank you so much‼️
*Thanks man you save me some money keep up with the great work,I just subscribed*
Thanks for your support 🙏!
You should always have Jack stands.
EXCELLENT! One thing I might add is watching for the brake fluid reservoir overflowing when the calipers are retracted. What size jack do I need to make the same move under the differential?
Thank you
You are welcome
Did you open / add any brake fluid to reservoir? Did you have a bleed it off? I appreciate you! I am about to tackle this tomorrow
Is it necessary to remove the top from the master cylinder first?
Thanks for the help with electric brake. I’m $300 richer
For the rear pads which one is the inner pad and outter pad?
Brave man trusting that harbor freight jack... lol I've had 4x collapse on me , LOL YES 4X . THEY last 1x year only when used regularly..I service them too and it still doesn't lengthen their life span
What capacity jack is needed for this move under the differential? Is 3 1/2 ton sufficient?
I own 2 of those harbor freight jacks and ive never had any problems since 2021, used to have three but it got stolen
does ir matter what pad you do on either side? is there an inner or outer pad?
It'll come in a box of 2 sets, usually, but they'll only go on a certain way so you shouldn't have a problem figuring it out.
You didn't have to decompress the actuator electric motor on the breaks?
How did the piston just go back in with it being an electric breaking system???
He put it in maintenance mode at the start of the video
I have a 2018 only 14k on it ford says I need new rear brakes 3mm
Good chance they lied. Same happened to me at 18k miles. At 23k - different Ford dealership, they said I was at 6mm.
I have a fob
i hit it with my purse and it did just fine
All part of being a Ford owner.
Never heard an axle called a tube
Definitely not called an axle.
It's ok - part of the differential housing. Axle tube is not inaccurate.
You forgot one thing? You forgot a hell of a lot
You forgot one thing? You forgot a hell of a lot
That's just mean.
Is it mean because you crash and kill some one because you have brake failure? Don’t answer that I can see you are already brain dead
