Have you ever heard a fiddler whose playing elicits both chills and tears at the same time?... Bravo, cheers and deep respect to master fiddler, Julianna Waller.
This is great! Also thank you for not randomly adding "The Streets of Cairo" to it, a lot of people ruin "Bonaparte's Retreat" doing that but I appreciate how you didn't!
Bonaparts is a pleasantly easy tune, and i discovered that didgeridoo makes it sound ...bagpipish...if the didgeridoo is a D timber. this is nice rendition. i play it on the fiddle my mother had when she was teenager.. i am a fiddle nerd.
@@juliannawaller-martinez5462 I play "Midnight On the Water" in that tuning. Bagpipe sound is what this tuning is going for I guess. Rumour has it the British banned bagpipes in Scotland 400 years ago and the fiddlers invented this tuning. Not sure this it true but it makes a great story.
Dene Deh-Cho The violin is tuned differently than the normal E A D G. For this tune the strings are tuned D A D D, high to low. This creates the droning sound & gives the impression of a bagpipe.
Glad you all are enjoying my version!!! And, I played this on my great grandfather's fiddle...
Girl, have you ever thought of playing Amazing Grace in that tuning? You inspire me to try and put a little more effort in my fiddlin. 😉
Cool, i have the mouthpiece of my great grandfathers bugle.
I just found you, you are a huge inspiration, the best rendition I've heard. Thank you!

@@juliannawaller-martinez5462 I cannot wait!
Julianna's got bee honey on her strings!...
For a failed rebellion in 1798, and our hopes were dashed by Wellington.
What was your tuning?
DDAD ?
Yes, the G string is tuned "down" to the low D. The D string stays. The A string stays. The E string is tuned down a whole step to D. It's cool!
