The thing that makes Messi and Ronaldo one of a kind for many years to come isn't just that they are stupidly gifted & talented, they were also barely ever injured, and the few injuries they had were not severly enough to have a major impact on their careers.
For example R9 (the OG Ronaldo from Brazil) would probably be regarded as the GOAT if he didn't get injured, spending over 2 decades in the top of Europe is not something that just comes from talent, it also needs a bit of luck and a lot of consistency.
