- Kevin Pritchard returns with a second installment of his Evil Weevil machine as well as Northern Ireland's representative in the First World Championships in Weld-Dor. Will these two be the go to robots in this heat, or will somebody spring a surprise and lure the others into its trap?

If you say “Kevin Pritchard” in the mirror 3 times Jonathan Pearce appears and explains that he was on the winning Panic Attack team in series 2
Kevin Pritchard was 31 when he was king of robot wars series 2 with panic attack. From Joe. X
What do you say in the mirror to get Julia to appear?😂
Worst Heat in Series 3 was Evil Weevil's Heat. Worst Heat in Series 4 is Evil Weevil's Heat. I'm starting to notice a pattern here.
forzatoby Mate heat C (Firestorm's heat) was way worse than this heat.
Na surely Series 3 Heat P was worse...
Seriously!!
@andersonhill3484, how Firestorm got through was lucky. From Joe. X
I could have sworn Mousetrap was way cooler when I was 6..............
They appeared in series 7 with a cluster bot named black and blue. From Joe. X
Yeah, this heat was definitely disappointing. Most of the robots were just a bit pathetic really - it's such a shame the seeds both went out so early! Honestly, the most entertaining bit was Banshee in Pinball :D
Sump Thing was good until it knocked itself out

Shocking really. From Joe. X
Sam Smith's first appearance on Robot Wars before joining Dave Moulds to build Carbide.
Oh my gosh, yes! Carbide is one of my all-time favourites.
Which then went on to become Cobalt in Battlebots….Robot Wars being Cancelled and all.

I always liked Sump Thing, not the best robot by a long way, but I liked it all the same.
To be honest, I actually rather liked Weld-dor 2's design even if it didn't do well -- if it had worked, I could've seen the front-hinge flipper and axe combination being quite strong against a few of the bots here.
Half of the bots from other heats which lost in 1st round are better than Mouse trap
Mousetrap was eliminated by Stinger in the semifinals. From Joe. X
It was definitely improved with the addition of a blade on the edge of the trap. Gave it some cutting and penetrative power instead of just bludgeoning damage
I think if Tiberius hadn't wrecked one half of its drive, it would have most likely won this heat. Mousetrap go through on pure luck to be honest.
Even though it was a bad heat atleast it wasn't little fly who won the heat
Having a functioning robot isn't really luck, it's just better engineering, it's part of Robot Wars, we all know it.
Rather have a robot that doesn't break down in a semifinal or grand final.
@@Dead25mSpikasaurus functioned perfectly well and didn’t make it past the first round. Put it in this heat and it would have beaten many of these bots if not all of them. Put Mousetrap in with Stinger and Bulldog Breed and it’s going out in the first round. That’s where luck comes in.
He fell foul of stinger in the semi-finals of series 4. From Joe. X
Well what do you know. Sumpthing actually won a fight.
Awwww that's nice
The _only_ battle it ever won, though it could've been two had it just not messed around and left Mousetrap to lose power completely.

Interesting heat. Possibly the two worst robots, attack wise, made it to the heat final! Bizarre. And Craig consoling the little chap at the end, what a gentleman.

Thank god Sump Thing got stuck on itself in the Mousetrap fight, because it probably would have lost to Little Fly.
Leave them alone they're special

This was the "napalm heat" of season 4.
So much so that the recording I did of series 4 omits this episode due to nothing of note happening.
At the very least it didn't have Napalm in it, they got their comeuppance at Dominator 2's hands.

I remember this heat, so disappointed that Evil Weevil and Wel-Dor didn't get far.
Shocking to see both seeds eliminated in round one. From Joe. X
I'm not going to lie here but Little Fly is actually one of my all time favorite robots from Robot Wars it has a really simple look but the builders putt allot of effort into the robot by adding stuff light a light projector and a warning light for when the weapon was fully charged even if they did not need to and Little Fly did surprisingly well during Head K by taking out Weld'Dor in the first match before winning against Tiberious by sheer luck before finally a surprisingly intense and even battle with Mousetrap which Mousetrap just managed to win
Little fly is the first gen of bar spinners. It's spinner looks like Ironside 3
@@RealRichieYTit does. From Joe. X
@@RealRichieYT come to think about it your right tbh Little Fly did unexpectedly well and there were a hair's breadth away from the series semi's
Stinger should have swapped heats with Wel-Dor, then Stinger could have won this heat and either Bigger Brother or Bulldog Breed could have won theirs. Not that that's how it works.
That's how the draw pans out. From Joe. X
god that was a bad heat this looked like series 1.

That's why it's always a good idea to charge all your batteries before your event because otherwise you'll just go flat during the match.

The two finalists of this heat won luckily their semifinals due the self damages of their opponents...the final should ve been tiberius vs sump thing
But the fights decided that who fought who. From Joe. X
Honestly, I feel like Little Fly should have won that judges' decision but them/the producers would rather have Mousetrap in the series Semi finals. Mousetrap barely moved all battle and Little Fly withstood their attacks well.
But mousetrap kept luring him into the cpzs. From Joe. X
I thought the most cringeworthy part of this series was Ian Lewis' rant at the end of Heat B, but holy shit, I forgot just how bullshit this whole episode was, starting with that decision was against Weldor. I'm sorry, if they were able to disqualify Suicidal Tendencies for only having one wheel working, they should have called on Little Fly for being barely mobile in that first fight. Fair play on the boys from Belfast for giving Little Fly credit and accepting it but they really should have called time on Little Fly for being immobile. Ugh. Then we had Banshee's pinball run, which will be the utter shame of SMIDSY for beating it.
I'll give them fair credit for the Tiberius match, that was an obvious breakdown on Tiberius' part, even though it genuinely had controlled the match up until the point. Just goes to show Sam Smith was (and is) a very underrated driver, it's a shame he didn't get a chance to shine until Carbide came onto the arena.
I'm with Dig on this as well, another utter bullshit call that needed some justification. Not denying Sump Thing was immobile, but Mousetrap was gone far, far before that, and Sump Thing had the upper hand throughout the battle. Look, if you're going to let Wheely Big Cheese go through after it did nothing and ended up in the pit with Suicidal Tendencies still moving on half a track, you can't expect us to be alright with these sorts of bullshit decisions, argh!
I don't really have a winner for this heat final, I don't think either deserved to be there, and while Mousetrap had some control and damage, I think Little Fly was still the more mobile of the two, and had more aggression. I'll say I'd have given it a smidge to Little Fly but at this point I don't really give much of a damn about this decision.
I do apologise NJGW, last post I said I was delighted you were posting S4 but this one literally gave me a migrane watching.
#ianlewiswasright
Also, it's a TV show, the more exciting robots are always going to be put through if it reaches the judges, that's just a fact of life and a reward for making your robot visually and technically appealing rather than a dull box on wheels.
Wait, what are you holding me up on? None of the robots in this heat could really be called a 'box on wheels' unless you mean my comment about Suicidal Tendencies, at which case it's a box on tracks.
Gregory Atkin well it was just a general insight into the philosophy of the producers rather than a comment on each individual robot in this heat.
Mousetrap was obviously the one the producers thought would bring more excitement in the semis, and they were probably right.
If they had actually worked weldor and evil weevil would've dominated this heat however
Ah, alright, sorry if I came off a bit sharp. And at least through my spectacles, I liked Sump Thing most from this heat, it had a wonderfully characterful team and a unique look and approach to the design. That said, it was a neat idea from Mousetrap. Just... not great. That's my take on it. The horror, a fan has a different opinion from the producers. It's unthinkable!
"Far far before"? I don't think so. Sump Thing wouldn't have driven into the wall if Mousetrap hadn't been able to move out of the way when it did.
Also, Little Fly wasn't immobilised in the first round battle, so it's completely different from Suicidal Tendencies. Yes, it was clearly driving to one side, but it wasn't driving ON one side. Evidently there had been a puncture to its tyre, which severely restricted its movement, but it could still use that wheel. Suicidal Tendencies could not.
if the house robots had been as quick to the kill on mousetrap as they have been elsewhere, sump thing would for sure have taken the heat. very disappointing!

Well that first heat was a fiasco. Probably just as well Evil Weevil broke down completely so the judges could tell who to eliminate. The second heat wasn't much better. I think there were some pretty dodgy judging decisions but frankly, with this batch of bots, I don't really care.
