I start learning two weeks ago..i play alot Seydel Blues Session Key of A. I learn and play everyday but it seems there is no progress. I dont want to give up but i am stuck!
A better reason would be, because you like playing, even if you dont improve. Just simply breathing in and out through the first three holes can be magical in it self. Meditative. I dont think you have to always think about improving.
Perceived slowing down of learning new skills is something that is bound to happen. The same amount of progress may mean doubling at the start but gets a smaller portion compared to a skill level aquired after some time. Sometimes it really means to play a piece with more ease and even improve keeping the beat.
As an amateur I consider it a win when I keep having fun and look forward to play for a while. Since I took up playing blues harp, I never considered giving up even when hitting a plateau.
Great attitude and one that I have subscribed to since picking up the harp 8 years ago.
Hey dude, I gave up the harmonica years ago to focus on my guitar and vocals. Have you got any tips on working the rust off? I've been trying to play again but I'm so rusty, I can't remember half of the techniques. It's quite upsetting because I used to be quite good, your channel was one of the main ways I learned. I got through the beginner and intermediate so I was working my way through the advanced but it was too much to juggle at the time with my other instruments. I'm currently going through some of your old vids trying to remember but some tips or even a little video on getting back into it would be much appreciated.

Giving up harmonica? No way! I'm not a good player but I want to be buried with my Special 20 so I can praise the Lord with it every day when I'm up there.
