80s aren’t even all that big anymore! That said I just switched my m12s to a ground control flat setup with 80mm wheels and it is so smooth and fast and just really fun.
I’ve just started skating on 4x80, but I think my next purchase will be a slightly rockered 4x90. 110 seems way too big to me, but I’m quite short, so I can imagine it’s okay if you’re taller

@ThirtyandRollin In Finland, here are a few places to inline skate in the winter. The snow and rain season is approximately four to five months of the year, but of course, in the winter, I can play ice hockey two to three times per week. :) Just yesterday, I did the first placement change of hydrogen wheels, and there are still a lot left, buuuut, when you've got to have new, better wheels, you've just got to have them. 😎
Hi there, I've been eyeing these frames for a long time, but I'm not used to a rockered setup, so I have a question: how can you compare these frames to conventional flat setups, such as 3*110 mm? I have significant experience with 3*110 frames by FR skates and Flying Eagle, which are flat, and I want to upgrade to 4*110 for long distance skating in the city setting (as I want the 4th wheel in the back) so I do jump, but not as tricks, with your time using them, would you recommend these? I don't feel that cons you outlined will be critical for my style of skating. It would be really great to hear your opinion, because they aren't popular where I live and I have nowhere to try them out, thanks a lot for your video) They also don't sell the v rockered sumos now, so your opinion will be even more valuable to me
I like a rockered frame more as wheel get bigger with 4. That way you keep maneuverability. These will be heavier but just as fast and more maneuverable than a 3x110. Hope that helps. I would get these. 4x100 or 4x110 flat are fun but only for long distance speed skating.

Considering the structural design with the two layers, do you think that these wheels are reliable for jumps and urban skating in harsh asphalt with holes and bad surface?
Just to answer my own question, after buying and using the wheels. No, these wheels are not good for anything else except racing and running marathons (or normal usage in urban skating without jumps or other complex tricks) and this for limited period (as long as the outer layer is still there). For serious jumps >1m you are in danger the wheel to explode and get some serious injury. Moreover, once the outer layer gets worn out there is no connection between the two layers as a result the wheel to tear apart in a couple of minutes of extra usage (happened to me). Thus, the life of the wheel is as much as the outer layer is there and holds everything together then it becomes useless. This means that you spend 200 bucks and you can use only half of the wheel. Sorry but if I knew this from the beginning, I would pass. However, for normal urban skating and as long as the outer layer of the wheel is in a good condition the feeling is amazing, I give them this for sure.

The 100mm is perfect, unless u have small feet like 30nBlading said, then you might want to go 90mm. I disagree w using "beginner" as an escuse to get the 90mm because it will only take 1week (skating every day) to pick it up and get use to it. A beginner can easily start with the ronin100 and avoid having to pay again for another frame once the begginer fase is over. Long story short, its up to you. Some people like 4x80 so maybe 4x90 is suitable if one wants the next step up. But if you want the best (in my opiniom) that NN offers, then get the ronin.
The funny thing is the 100mm wheels dont weight much less and the 4x100 frames are also not much lighter BUT he didnt mentioned the over all weight when he made the review of the Ronin 4x100. Now all of a sudden it's a con.
It will become the useless kitchen item of the skate equipment world. An ass long and ass heavy 4x110 rockered frame for "urban skiing" with marathon race profile wheels. 😂 Too unstable and slow for speedskating and at the same time too cumbersome and chunky for urban fun. Additional to that the ridiculous expensive setup price. Who is drunk enough to order such an absurd setup?
I appreciate your opinion but I enjoyed the hell out of this setup. It reminds me of the whole early rise/wide ski movement. A bunch of older traditionalist skiers hated it, but guess what, that is pretty much the only thing on the market now days. Every ski made has a percentage of early rise and a wider profile. I see a very similar evolution coming in the skate industry weather you like it or not.

Endless are a bit lower and more stable. Power transfer may be a touch better. But both similar.
