Great video Simon. I really enjoy your style and enthusiasm. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this review. I'd like to put the Emits up against my Acoustic Energy AE1's. I'd need a decent amp though I suppose.

Hello from Prague. Your review played a major role in my decision to buy these speakers. I got them today and they are absolutely excellent. You managed to capture their sound characteristics perfectly. They sound great right out of the box, powered by Musical Fidelity M3s. My long search for the perfect speakers for my musical preferences (hard rock, prog rock, fusion) is finally over. Thank you so much, you helped me tremendously!
I purchased the Emit 20’s and really liked them a lot…but kept wondering what about the LS50 metas so I purchased a pair to audition and I completely agree with Simon’s assessment. The Dynaudio Emit 20 are a true bargain, they simply have that “something” that makes an audio piece special. My assumption is the lower cost material and labor makes this possible for the price. They also respond well to any upgrades to sources, amps cables, etc - I've yet to hit a bottleneck with them. Great work as always!

Great review. Last year I decided to get a small but good hifi system in my office. I got the Rega IO amp and the Dynaudio Emit 20, both at a discounted price. The sound is made by the ifi Zen dac v2. After testing it I was shocked. This was playing better than anything I had ever heard before, and better than I have at home. I'm going to try the Emit 10s due to size and capability, at least from what I have garnered by initial reviews of both the Emit 10 and 20 series. While the bass should be more impactful on the larger speakers, I think the sound signature and capabilities should be more or less similar with perhaps sounding a bit smaller although the speaker size of the 10s in an advantage for me. I will try and report back once I have received, broken in and evaluated the Emit 10s on both my amps and in comparison to what I have now and what I have experienced as to the pros/cons and what may make them a best choice for the price speaker. I wouldn't have dropped the hammer so to say but a sale on white Emit 10s came up at 25% off NIB in my location, with 1 pair remaining, I hit the purchase button. I don't think resale is as high on Dyns in my area as some other lines but at 25% off, I couldn't resist. Had considered Revel M105 also, among a few others but wanted to stay within a budget for now and within size and spec constraints, at least until I sell my larger speakers. Really, the size of the 10s seem perfect and offer flexibility for my needs as to mid or near field listening. Looking forward to them.
Thank you my friend. I had my mind on these a few years ago and today my current lovely Celestions are packing up, so I thought again of the Dynaudio Emit, looked on youtube and found this post. Totally convinced I went on ebay and a Pretty mint pair were just put up by an Hifi trader. £349 . Now mine. All in the space of 40 minutes. Magic exists
Simon, A very solid review, and this is from a guy who sat through a few from various reviewers. Your humor adds a certain flair and the graphics are definitely notable (may or may not be nominated for an Oscar but you definitely get a Clint Eastwood honorable mention badge). And, I can now see why you made mention to me to "wait on your review of the Dynaudio Emit 20" and not fixate on the LS50 meta's. In short, it was well worth the 7-9 days or so that i waited. I can "see me in a pair of the Dynaudio 20's" in the not so distant future. But first i have to sell the LS50's i have... Again, thank you for sharing your expertise with the audiophile community. Your future patreon, Don
Great review... I have been waiting for a good comparison between LS 50 and Emit 20 and what a thrill to see your video.. I like to thank you for your way of describing the sound nature and Emit and the analogy u used which really help.. looking forward for more of your video.
I'm trying out a set of these. They sounded dreadful out of the box, all over the place, but after ten hours they are a lot better. Extremely detailed and resolving but not fatiguing. Maybe the tone is not quite up to the best in this price range.
Been looking at these for a while, glad there was an in depth review finally. I picked up a pair of small standmounts from Gato audio, will soon be getting some SF Lumina IIs (5 month wait!!!) so this Emit 20 could make for a heck of a shootout.
Very good review and video Simon. I am also a fan of Dynaudio and Hegel (and Agnes Obel...😊) and considering Dynaudio's Evoke 10 for my living room. But now Dynaudio's Emit 30 are also an option... Looking forward to your next reviews. Greetings from Holland!
I just picked up a used pair of the older version of Emit M20’s and I’ve enjoyed them thus far. I’ve heard some describe the Emit series as having more of a v-curved sound. They definitely seem to have slightly boosted bass and treble . Not sure how well they compare to the new revised edition other than WhatHiFi rated the older models slightly better than the new. I also enjoyed the Metas and hope to compare them side by side in the future.
I wouldn't say the bass is massively boosted tbh - it sounds bang on for the type and money. Both of them are good, but as I say if you want more a sense of what the music is about, Emit's fo it for me.
Thank you. That’s the bit I get great enjoyment out of and I’m trying to develop that so I can charge brands to do promo videos, more in 3d as I get better at using the software etc. It’s hard to make any money from hifi reviewing so you’ve got to really enjoy making videos.
Thank you so much. Doing a 3D video advert which is big learning curve. but am reviewing it too and trying to get something out this week. Thanks for your patience.
Simon I just watched it - twice in fact. Being a bit of a graphics nerd, as an offshoot of my profession I found it remarkable. The effects made the product very enticing and made me want to find out more about what it could do for me. IOW, it captured my interest. Thanks for the peek.
@@egis7908 thanks very much Louis, I think this is where I want to take my skills I’ve learnt and am learning from doing this Chanel. Doing the video on this dac this weekend. Best wishes Simon
Wow man, we even get new band recommendations now! Dynaudio seems on a roll right now, I got the Heritage Specials and often don't get any work done because of them. Btw just rediscovered Sigur Ros after a hiatus, FYI soul stirring stuff.
A video that only you could do Simon, Fantastic ! Please please review the bigger higher Dynaudio floor standers - I followed you and purchased the PMC .23 very happy with that purchase. Is it time to maybe look at the Dynaudio Evoke 50 or even the higher line then that?
The Emit 20 is currently going for £620 , maybe something to do with Black Friday, just need 620 and about 5 grand for an H390 , maybe next year, dope!
Mate your editing is phenomenal on this one. Your use of language is amongst the best on YT. Want to own some dyns one day ever since having them in my previous car, an amazing system
Great review again, I also watched your LS50 Meta with a lot of interest and waited for this one. I currently own the Dynaudio Emit M10's use them with a NAD D3020 amp. I'm afraid I have a case of upgraditis though. I always lusted after the LS50's, and now the Meta's. Not sure any longer after watching this review. Maybe a nice Hegel is also an interesting upgrade. A H120 maybe? I should listen to these myself. There is a store nearby where I live that offers both. Oh, what I wanted to ask: are these the 2nd generation M20's? If i'm not mistaking, they upgraded the Emit series recently.
The Hegel h120 is a fantastic amplifier and i use it on my ls50 meta's, but im like you always interested in different equipment. I must admit im very interesting in these new dynaudio emit 20's , might try and get a pair to demo so i can decide which one to keep
I'm putting my metas up for sale now Simon. They simply can't handle the music I'm mainly playing these days ( roots reggae ) although I know I will miss the soundstaging on the Kefs which are awesome with vocal/jazzy tracks. Now to pursade the Mrs that the JBL L100s are actually shoe storage boxes....😆
Enjoy if you do John. I think I’ll sell my kefs too if I can get these emits on really long term loan, as I could use Dynaudios as second pair of speakers.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Agreed. Like the look of those Dynaudios Simon and fantastic value for money. I need some bigger boxes now , probably a bit big for my space ( might audition the L82s as well ) but the Roomperfect on the Lyngdorf will sort out any bass issues. Kefs can sound a bit fatiguing sometimes too.
Well done, Simon!...and with no fear of the LS50 syndicate 😁. As always, I appreciate the token Hegel H390 appearance. You should discuss (if you haven't already), with some of these manufacturers, providing media services for their products.
Thank you very much 😀. I think it would still make them sound good but the H190 is probably the sweet spot of price and performance in the range. My review of the H120 I did a while back ruclips.net/video/895SR1oXRaM/видео.html
Great review Simon. I own a EMIT M20 and wonder if the 20 is a true upgrade on them? The M20's are wonderful and a very big surprise after owning Dynaudio 1.3 SE and listening to Special 40's. In one word they are musical!
Hi Simon.Fantastic review 😊I have £1000 to spend on upgrading my current speakers KEF q350's and i am seriously considering the Dynaudio Emit 20 speakers would these be a better upgrade over the KEF q350's i have? Many thanks.
Thanks great review. I’ve ordered the bigger emit 50 and can’t wait to get them. Planning to put them with a Auralic Aries streamer and chord Qutest into Naim supernait 2 with hicap DR. I’d love to hear your opinions on the new Roksan Attessa streaming amp and cd transport if that’s possible?
Thank you. Might be possible to do roksan as I get on with people who do the brand, as part of monitor audio. If you have the Aries g1 I’d recommend considering ditching it as i reviewed it and poor value for money.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 thanks, no I’ve got the older auralic Aries in the wedge shaped silver case. I might look at a newer streamer to replace it at some stage.
That’s a good one. I reviewed the le version a while back.definitely keep it. That’s one of the ones before they decided to double prices use aluminium cases, and sound quality is the same.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 thanks I’m pleased with it I suspect I’d need to spend quite a bit more to get anything better. I was interested in the Roksan Attessa streaming amp for a system in another room, but I’m not sure if it will work with Roon, it has the BLU OS module inside but i don’t think it’s Roon tested or Roon ready certified ?
I recently came across your Def Tech D11 review and wonder how the Emits present an overall musical experience in comparison. You seemed to suggest the D11s had a character or sound that was appealing but perhaps to a limited audience. Do the Emits emit a more neutral musical presentation? Are they more room-filling and exciting than the D11s?
I think it depends on the size of the room and what you are trying to achieve in the sound. The d11 would be better in big rooms or home cinema installations or as a front pair for 2ch but used in a home cinema set up, which after all is def tech’s bread and butter. For a fuller explanation and perhaps more brutal if considering buying, you can subscribe to patreon. I’ve already been really honest in this review against the kef (and more than most) so if you want more please subscribe.
Most wattage on amplifiers used up by low bass frequencies so my guess would be that Emit 10s might be better although depends how good current is on your 40wpc amplifier. If amplifier has a subwoofer out then you could add one later to provide the low end frequencies
I see a lot of LS50 on the used market. I suspect because the metal tweeter has a hard/artificial metallic sheen to the sound, and it's not good for long term. Dynaudio, otoh has always sounded to me cohesive and natural by compare. They open up at higher volumes, but don't get fatiguing. The only reason I see used dynaudio, is when someone buys a higher end dynaudio speaker to replace it. I have to agree that there is a point in which a speaker becomes too soft and laid back to have energy or impact. That super soft voicing has a large audience. I find it boring and unrealistic. BTW: the bonus of these type reviews is discovering recordings and artists I have never heard.
I have the older emit 20s they do sound good but dynaudio cheapened them by using a cheaper stamped metal basket bass driver. second I have a NAD amp and sometimes it drives them to distortion at higher volume. would the buchardt s400 mk2 a bigger upgrade
I think there are 2 types of listener. The one who sits on the edge of his seat, leans into the music and likes the speakers to shout every detail at him. The other listener likes to sit back in his chair, relax and let the music flow him. Effortlessly revealing the musics layers and tonality as it does so. I fit more into the second type and think the Kef would better suit my listening preference!
I think you are right, but the question is where does the difference in revealing the layers lie without any treble. It shows i think, that you have to listen to gauge where this point is, which could be different for different people. Also that whilst I may convey this in the review, the review isn’t an absolute and only as a shortlist so ultimately if the customer wants to do it properly they go out and find where this point is for themselves. 😀👍
@@13thnotehifireviews7 you’ve hit the ultimate audiophile dilemma. There is no speaker, or, electronics, which can fully satisfy all audiophiles, all the time. When looking to commit to purchasing a component you have to balance it’s attributes against it’s compromises and decide what best suits you. There is no perfect. That’s why there is so much reference to ‘the audiophile journey’!
That’s true to a degree but what’s more true I think is that there are fewer degrees of what constitutes good in hifi than people think or deliberate on. I thought about this carefully in considering these the better speakers. That’s not just what I like but others too and if everything were a question of what an individual likes then nothing would be good beyond anything else and sometimes you have to call it. Preference must come in sure but being better is a different question so far as a review.
I was thinking initially of buying Kef Ls50 meta, but after this video I am struggling to make a decision. Because I don’t have the convenience of auditioning for the Emit 20. Do I take your word?
A review is for a shortlist, not making decisions because you may find you don’t agree with me. Ultimately I would try and find a dealer who can lend you them without obligation , then decide.
Currently own Sonus Faber Lumina II , i feel they are a bit too treble heavy and lacking punchy bass. Im still on the search for another speaker. Might give these a try
Hi, nothing to do this this video, but can't find any answer on the web, thought this may be a good place to get the answer, the question is " Why do amplifiers include DAC when all audio players ( the source ) already include a built-in DAC ( also which DAC ( DAC from Amp. or DAC from Audip player) will the speaker choose as the final out-put? ",
Not all audio streamers have DACs. They are often referred to as ‘transports’ as they send the digital stream to the dac. Amps include dacs as they often are better integrated with the amp and whole sound. Stand alone DACs are always best for me.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Would be typical if they have totally changed the sound character. There's almost a law to that. Revised model, different sound. They don't seem to subscribe to the philosophy of not changing a winning team in the speaker industry.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 The prize/value aspects can at times be very revealing for the top prized products. I stopped connecting high prize to high quality a long time ago. There are often fractional differences in products that are miles apart on prize, and as you mention in your review so called "high fidelity" isn't always what we want. At least not in the way some high-end speaker manufacturers delivers it. I also like a bit of factory calibration. Seems like Dynaudio is on the right track, when I listened to the M20's paired with a sub I couldn't believe the prize! It sounded better than much more expensive products in MY ears.
I am thinking of buying the bigger brother, the EMIT 50's. Are they good ?. Or will a pair of EMIT 20's with dual subs ( REL or BK ) be better than buying the EMIT 50's ?
Interesting and fun video - thanks for the content. Do you think this is a noticeable improvement from the previous Emit generation? I have the Emit 10s from 3 years ago and looking for a potential upgrade.
Sticking it to what hifi: I think some reviewers believe that modern indoor spaces heighten the treble with their hard surfaces rather than your thought that soft furnishings dampen them. It’s an instinctive bias I see in many reviews. I suppose it depends on preference, KEF ls50 metas favour accuracy and these dynaudios provide hifi tuning.
Based on common sense and reflected sound. No bias and point is moot as you still need treble which is my point re ‘audiophile sound’ . The kefs are not as accurate to my mind because they won’t recreate detail and detailed timbre without as much treble . I think the balance of the emits are just right.
Kef ls50 Meta is better than the Dynaudio, even on a bad day, they even sound better than my old Dynaudio Excite X34, still using LYD 7 in the office but in the leving room kef are there to stay
@@13thnotehifireviews7 I compared them in a shop and my impression was that the Emit 10 isn't as V-curved as the Emit 20. The mid-range was more prominent (as it is less recessed because it isn't as V-shaped). In a way they sounded closer to the LS50 than the Emit 20. OTOH, the Emit 20 impressed more ... Of course, that was in a shop, things might be very different at home.
I bought Dynaudio Excite X12's a while back and easily prefer them to other budget speakers I had, I like the combination of smooth detailed treble and fast tight bass.
I really like your reviews. Keep them coming.
Thanks very much 🙏😀
Thank you my friend.
Thanks very much Don. Do use the review as a shortlist and see if you agree with me or not is my recommendation 😀
Great review... I have been waiting for a good comparison between LS 50 and Emit 20 and what a thrill to see your video.. I like to thank you for your way of describing the sound nature and Emit and the analogy u used which really help.. looking forward for more of your video.
Thank you very much. Glad you liked it Terry.
Thanks, let us know how you get on with your trials. 😀
Simon,, simply a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review, again.
Cheers and thank you sooo much,, 🍻😎👍!
Thanks Irene, glad you liked this one.
I have evoke 10s and I love them.
A lot of people are thinking of upgrading from Emit10 to Evoke20. Would be interesting to hear how Emit20 would compare to Evoke20.
Thanks for your kind words. The Hegel does work very well with the Dynaudio's.
Great video as always. Regards from Berlin
Thanks very much. Psb album very apt 😀👍
great work that you do in this channel, but graphics are on a level beyond anything else.
Thank you. That’s the bit I get great enjoyment out of and I’m trying to develop that so I can charge brands to do promo videos, more in 3d as I get better at using the software etc. It’s hard to make any money from hifi reviewing so you’ve got to really enjoy making videos.
Just tested the Emit 10 and the Evoke 20 paired with the Rotel 1572 MK ii. Absolutely fantastic!
I have Emit10s. Would you say Evoke20 would be a substantial improvement ? I would pair the speaker with my Rotel a11.
I love mine with my Audiolab 6000. However, I use them with a couple of old Eclipse subs - they really round out the sound.
Very insightful review, thanks.
A great review. Thanks.
Another great review thanks and yes the Public Service Broadcasting latest is a great album
Thank you, can’t beat that album ‘every valley’ - my fav psb album like I said in vid. I also like the spitfire ep they did.
Simon your entire library of reviews are epic!! I’ve missed you the past 4 weeks. Where are you??
Thank you so much. Doing a 3D video advert which is big learning curve. but am reviewing it too and trying to get something out this week. Thanks for your patience.
Check this one out I’ve been doing. Def an epic 3d advert. Took ages. fb.watch/9i2K0ckKvS/
Nice vid Simon, been considering Dynaudio for some time.
Thanks very much. Special 40 is a great speaker too
Wow man, we even get new band recommendations now! Dynaudio seems on a roll right now, I got the Heritage Specials and often don't get any work done because of them. Btw just rediscovered Sigur Ros after a hiatus, FYI soul stirring stuff.
Thanks Michael, been doing that for a while now. A reviewer friend of mine recommended your speakers and I might ask. ;)
A video that only you could do Simon, Fantastic !
Please please review the bigger higher Dynaudio floor standers - I followed you and purchased the PMC .23 very happy with that purchase. Is it time to maybe look at the Dynaudio Evoke 50 or even the higher line then that?
Definitely prefer to hear those warts 👍🏼👌🏼
Me too, at this money to need to ‘see’ into the music.
The Emit 20 is currently going for £620 , maybe something to do with Black Friday, just need 620 and about 5 grand for an H390 , maybe next year, dope!
You don’t pair these with h390 , better speakers needed
Dynaudio Emit 20 or the PMC Prodigy 1? Which one should i pick? I have a Musical Fidelity M3si Amp and Chord Qutest DAC..
Mate your editing is phenomenal on this one. Your use of language is amongst the best on YT. Want to own some dyns one day ever since having them in my previous car, an amazing system
Thank you so much Peter , so encouraging. I’d love to try some more from Dynaudio.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 emit 50 are also going to be disrupting the tower status quo. I think they will set a new paradigm tbh
I want to try sp40 and heritage special
Great review!
Thanks very much. Yes these are 2nd gen , not called m20 but just emit 20 now. 😀👍
Great review. Thanks.
Thanks very much Mark. Trying that with video production and adverts.
Well done Sir! I have old b52 powered Dynaudios. No cover, but sound good, but I want my own amp to power speakers.
Great review.
As usual, nice and fun review! Great video production, too.
Which one of these would be better suited for nearfield listening?
Thank you very much Aaron. I think they are both good on that score. Maybe Dynaudio’s slightly on account volume can be lower with detail.
Is Hegel h120 powerful enough for these speakers? Excellent video, as always!
Thank you very much 😀. I think it would still make them sound good but the H190 is probably the sweet spot of price and performance in the range. My review of the H120 I did a while back ruclips.net/video/895SR1oXRaM/видео.html
were the speakers broken in before you started listening?
Great review Simon. I own a EMIT M20 and wonder if the 20 is a true upgrade on them? The M20's are wonderful and a very big surprise after owning Dynaudio 1.3 SE and listening to Special 40's. In one word they are musical!
Thank you, I’d recommend checking out my review of the buchardt s400 mk2 speakers too!
Hi Simon.Fantastic review 😊I have £1000 to spend on upgrading my current speakers KEF q350's and i am seriously considering the Dynaudio Emit 20 speakers would these be a better upgrade over the KEF q350's i have? Many thanks.
Thanks very much. I’m doing advice on patreon and free trial to try and make it work more. Please do sign up 😀
Thanks great review.
I’d recommend the new node as it’s a brilliant streamer . See my other vid I did 😀
How do they compare to the evoke 20?
Does the Dynaudio Emit 20 need a quality amp to sound good or will it be happy with Amps under £1000.?
They are good enough to need a great amp. I tried the Mytek Brooklyn plus power amp and the h390 as I said in the film.
Dynaudio Emit M20 vs Dynaudio Emit 20 ? What's better?
. Better for whom? I suggest whomever wants to make that decision listen to both or flip a coin. That's up to oneself.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Thank you.
Thank you for this review
Du you think a quad 405 would drive them well best reinhart
How can I know if I’ve never tried that quad
Good review
Is a 40W amplifier enough for the Emit 20 and maybe 40W is better with Emit 10, the room is 13 square meters. I'm asking for an honest opinion. Thx.
Is also good for low volume? Tks
I think so yes
Simon why i don’t see the holes for the grills on this pair ?? It’s this a new version ??
Not sure what you mean but yes it replaces the m20 emit version with the bolts in the drivers
@@13thnotehifireviews7 what I mean is if these speakers have holes to hold the grilles or its magnetic ??
@@easyphotoshop1264 got you. It’s magnets and the little yellow covers are held on by magnets too.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 cool I’m thinking on buying a pair as you said they sound better than the metas ??
What is the difference between them and MA Gold 100 5G?
Happy to help, but please see description. Will happily help patreon subscribers.
I actually still have those Tannoys DC6T SE! They are good but can be too bright, especialy with my MF M3si. I'm considering emit 30 now. ;)
Will a 50 watt Keces 40e amp work with them?
The emit 20 here in Australia retails at $1,699
Currently own Sonus Faber Lumina II , i feel they are a bit too treble heavy and lacking punchy bass. Im still on the search for another speaker. Might give these a try
Can Emit 20 replace the old model Audience 42?
Hi, nothing to do this this video, but can't find any answer on the web, thought this may be a good place to get the answer, the question is " Why do amplifiers include DAC when all audio players ( the source ) already include a built-in DAC ( also which DAC ( DAC from Amp. or DAC from Audip player) will the speaker choose as the final out-put? ",
Not all audio streamers have DACs. They are often referred to as ‘transports’ as they send the digital stream to the dac. Amps include dacs as they often are better integrated with the amp and whole sound. Stand alone DACs are always best for me.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Thanks for the information, cheers
guess the bung converts the port into a type of aperiodic vent
How does it compare with Monitor Audio Gold 100 please?

Kef or Dynaudio for Cyrus One cast ?
Anybody know if the Rotel A11 tribute would be able to drive them ok?
Why wouldn't it?

I have heard dynauido speakers need a bit more power and the tribute only has 50W.
@@aleph0909 So U must have the Rotel now or are looking for a used one?
Is this a follow up to the Emit M20 that seems to be discontinued?
Yes I think that’s the case. Regards
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Would be typical if they have totally changed the sound character. There's almost a law to that. Revised model, different sound. They don't seem to subscribe to the philosophy of not changing a winning team in the speaker industry.
I think it’s more a case of how they improve at any given price
Please see description 👍
Really enjoyed this 🤬🤬🤬😜
Thank you Jayson 😀👌👍
Nice review, loved that british humor. Do you think NAD c316 can drive these speakers properly?
Yes definitely the NAD has a decent amount of current.
Interesting and fun video - thanks for the content.
Do you think this is a noticeable improvement from the previous Emit generation? I have the Emit 10s from 3 years ago and looking for a potential upgrade.
Thank you, watch it right to the end where I comment on that
Is it possible to see their crossover ? I am interesting to see the quality of parts they used
Not sure, one to ask them direct me thinks.
I saw that wow are you a fan of see the little things if not try them out
Kef ls50 Meta is better than the Dynaudio, even on a bad day, they even sound better than my old Dynaudio Excite X34, still using LYD 7 in the office but in the leving room kef are there to stay
Care to elaborate? Otherwise doesn’t really advance the discussion. Only saying 😀
M10s are better
How come? Compare ?
@@13thnotehifireviews7 I compared them in a shop and my impression was that the Emit 10 isn't as V-curved as the Emit 20. The mid-range was more prominent (as it is less recessed because it isn't as V-shaped). In a way they sounded closer to the LS50 than the Emit 20. OTOH, the Emit 20 impressed more ... Of course, that was in a shop, things might be very different at home.
I bought Dynaudio Excite X12's a while back and easily prefer them to other budget speakers I had, I like the combination of smooth detailed treble and fast tight bass.
