For those on a budget, this little camera is getting better each time we play with it. The new external Akaso USB-C mic works like a charm! I am impressed. A bit wider would be nice, but for the price and sound quality this looks like a winner for many of us. Excellent test video you have here.
Totally agree. The camera does go a little bit wider. I realized today that i had 'Lens Correction" enabled, which crops in a bit. Have a video coming out tomorrow night that will use the camera with the 'Lens Correction' turned off. Giving you a better visual of the cameras width.
This new akaso camera and external microphone was doing so fine... And in the price of it I bet it was in a qualified spot in the sports camera industry... God bless

I cannot believe how quiet the wind noise is in your video using the external mic? You mentioned that it might be using both the built-in mic and the external mic to two different channels. I’ve never had a video as quiet as this one you have right now. Where do you have the external mic mounted in this video, does it have a windsock on it?

Have you recoloured this AKASO footage? It looks good. Mine looks very purple/magenta - I've had two - both looked the same. Sound is great for such a cheap camera. I've no idea why DJI can't sort something out for their OSMO3 and 4. It is kind of a deal breaker that they have no easy sound options.

Since there is no external indicator visible once I'm wearing the helmet how can I know if I turned the video recording on? So I'd like to have a remote control with an indication telling if I'm recording or not but I have not been able to find anything for this camera. Do you have any tips on how to solve tis?

Glad you enjoyed it! The GoPro 7 Hero Black with Mic is still fairly pricy as you have to buy the mic adapter which is over $75 plus mic. The Akaso mic is only $10 and doesn't require an adapter. I do still think the GoPro is definitely a better camera but the akaso is definitely making great strides and is a great budget alternative!
Hello my friend. I write from Colombia, Excellent videos. Which Akaso camera is better? I like the Akaso v50 pro se and the Brave 6 plus, both for their good color profile, sharpness, and image quality. But which one is better for vlogging?
i like the mic that you can get for the Brave Plus. It just sounds better than the V50 Pro Mic. So if that is important then the Brave 6 Plus for sure.

A couple of questions Greg. The battery in this camers, is it like the V50Pro or the 7000 style? V50 Pro question. Can I use external power with it? If so, which port, micro usb or the micro hdmi?
So I think the battery is different from both. So another new battery and charger. The Brave 6 Plus runs great from a battery plugged into the USBC port (but you would love the external mic - unless maybe a usbc splitter would work). The V50 Pro seems to be able to run from the mini USB port, but again you would lose access to the external mic if that was important.

Any suggestions? Is there a different screw I need? Thanks!!!!!
