It is a shame that you didn't ride the service elevator. Even though it was modernized, it would have still been cool to ride. Another thing, service elevators can be used to get to locked floors, if you can find the service elevators. Please try that next time you are in a tall hotel with locked floors. It worked for me when I tried it.

These are adulterated OTIS AUTRONICS!!!!! I hate it when fine American Made elevators are updated with THIS! Nice effort Diesel but I share your sentiments on the modernization. I am sorry they modernized these. The new stuff they put in will not be the same as what was there. The other issue as elevators get older is finding replacement parts of they brake. Otis elevator isn't a problem so much as Westinghouse Elevator. Westinghouse Elevator has been out of business a long time.

These have since received a tragic modernization.

Kinda like the Payne Elevators between 1989-1999 before ThyssenKrupp bought it.

I filmed these first when I stayed there. Did they still shake when they got to the top? I actually stayed on 16. Floor 25 was where the ice machine was and it was an old maintenance floor with no windows only 2 elevators stopped there the 2 on either end.
