I have to say that 3D scanner is pretty awesome. Elliott the channel mascot turned out really good, Nicole face is awesome and Courtney definitely turned out great with Courtney's 3D scan you should paint the model and cast it in resin and present it to her for Christmas
Hey Ben I suggest building a stand to hold the scanner in one position then maybe a small motor to rotate the turntable. that way you could start a scan of an item, go do something else and know you would still get consistent quality results. Also maybe a clip on pistol grip for when you are doing hand scanning asit would help maintain orientation and steadyness of the scanner.
I like the different sized Elliots, you got them very small. The 3d scanner is awesome! Fantastic detail, can't wait to see what projects this might spark in the future.
Came to the comments expecting everyone to be asking about you scanning something more personal but it was the most wholesome comment section I've every seen xD
Dang! That is awesome! I am super interested in that...at least I was until I saw it was $900. A bit out of my price range right now. I would love to get something like that in the future because I would go crazy with making things. I wonder how good it would do at scanning parts of things to then 3D print and replace broken things.
Great new addition to your shop and creativity endeavors! You could have Cortney pose in a variety of 3-5 dancing poses. Or maybe holding your fragon in one hand and Nicole’s dragon book in the other. Anyway, I’m sure you guys will come up with some cool stuff. Joe CA
Ahhhhh!!! Another thing I really really want. Excellent video Ben. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent with us all ❤ Take great care Ben, Nicole and Courtney ❤❤❤❤❤
This scanner is an amazing technology. Wow, such detail. At nearly seventy-four years of age, I think I would pass on being scanned. I am looking forward to what items you and your family can create with this phenomenal device.
The possibility of 3D printing a family portrait would be so cool. And if you and two actually posed and printed a cheek to cheek face, I bet fans would buy that. Pretty sweet man!
Ben was like a kid on Christmas with the scanner. It's so cool to see him getting excited and maybe a bit inspired about how he can use the scanner in his art.
The 3D scanner is awesome. The details that the scanner picked up are just amazing. Miniature Elliott is just adorable! A great idea to add to your eggs, like you said, but also just as a stand-alone product for the shop. I would buy a miniature Elliott. Great episode!! That was fun! Much love to all! 😊💜
This is amazing to have for consumers. Stuff like this is amazing for reproducing discontinued parts for products. I've seen them used for parts for antique cars.
i was so close, when i saw the vlog i said a self portrait but holy moly it's almost the whole family! you are having so much fun, i can see it from here your sparkling eyes XD those mini elliot would be so cool as keychains, or eggs of course. i wonder if you can try it on a huge object like a car.... (all the projects were amazing btw, love them)
i use an app to 3d scan and works as well as this most times, but this is really simplified because of the 1 click to fix the model and make it solid etc.. great review on it ben, the scans come out great and seems real user friendly
I think, if I ever get a 3D printer, I would want the kind you have. My son bought one of the filament type, but one of the servo motors didn't work. He planned on getting a replacement, but that was about 8 years ago. Basically, he has a $250 paperweight at the moment. He bought the least expensive one, which came unassembled.
The smaller Elliotts would also make great key chains or give aways. That scanner is really awesome. Gives you endless possibilities for your eggs, frogs eyes/wings among other things.
Wow! That is soooo cool! You are right the possibilities are totally endless! Don't have to much fun with the new toy!!! What did Courtney and Nicole think of the prints of them? Have a great week. Take care n happy creating. Keep smiling 😃
@@BensWorx I truly admire the work you guys do! Amazing! I'm hooked on both channels. N I also got to agree if Nicole's print talked boy oh boy would that be scary but you may we be scary rich! Lol. Take care Ben
There's a company called Dopl that does something similar, with multi-colored prints. I wonder if you could similarly duplicate their product, even if only for her Eyes - that'd be really neat (FYI, Adam Savage did a few vids on the Dopl process. they have scanners too, but it's a much, MUCH bigger deployment with hundreds of scanners. Yours seems to be just as good as theirs. Nice Job!)
Love that video and the way you do it. ❤ Lovely channel. Had just ordered a different 3d scanner but after i came across another video about the otter your video finally "did the job" and changed my decision. 😉 Will change my order to the otter. Thanks for the help. ...and one more subscriber now. 😉🖖
Is there a tripod mount? I would think you could set the optimum distance with a static position, then you are free to turn the carousel as you want. Cool tool though.
I would LOVE to have an egg with a little tiny Elliott inside! Can you make him in different colors? It would look amazing on your painted burl. The skull is neat, and I like the 3D prints of Nicole and Courtney, but I just can’t get over the detail on the tiny Elliott.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet or not, but you could make the perfect fragon, scan it, and then 3d print them without having to piece them together. You can also do different sizes of the fragon. Maybe small enough to put in an egg.
The hair looks like it got a little wonky. Perhaps it was moving during the scan or it just had trouble picking up the alcove of space there. Veryyyy cool. I would have so much fun with something like this.
Awesome Video Ben & Nichole also i think the 3d prints are absolutely stunning and Awesome and i hope you are all well🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Nicole & Courtney are good sports. The quality is very good. I cannot help be a little chagrinned, having come from the ceramics world a while back. 🤫👍
Interesting episode, I enjoyed it (even though it was mainly an advertisement, that's OK). I've tons of questions though! You didn't show how you sliced the STL file, what slicer software did you use? When you first showed your wife's face after scanning, it was not a manifold STL file that could be sliced and printed. How did you go from that non manifold, surface file to a solid manifold printable file? Is that process something you did in the scanning software or did you have to use Blender? Did you use software like Blender but from Creality?
Once you've got a scan of a person, you should be able to get that file in to a 3D modeling and animation app, where you can swap in fantasy, scifi, action hero props and outfits, creating the persons own action hero figure. Cospalyers will love being able to do full body scans, and printing off 3D modeled costume elements customized to match their own figures. Add a scanner like this to Open Bionics designs, and there's a 3D printable prosthesis that matches the wearer's limb shape perfectly, so becomes much more comfortable to wear. Parents being able to print out a padding insert to match their kids prosthesis as the kid grows, will save them time and stress, less trips to the doctors for re-scans, just do it at home. Same goes with fold with home CNC Mills, scan a broken or worn classic car part, adjust the model, mill a replacement for a part impossible to buy.
It’s good to see you all smiling again. 😊

Would have been good to see Nicole and Courtnay's first reaction ;)
That is amazing!!! You could scan your son too and have a 3d printed family!!!
As someone who frequently sculpts figures in clay, I love the idea I could someday scan and make multiples to sell or give away.

tiny Cortney reminds me of Willy Wonka Mike TV.
this is so cool. I can only imagine how useful
this will be for your studio.

The possibilities are endless!!
I love what you scanned. Everything looks amazing 😍😍. Love to you all ❤❤❤
Hey WorxFamily
Great episode.
Thanks for sharing.
Take care 😊
Hi Ben, Nicole & Courtney, this was such a fun video. Have a blessed weekend.😊
Yea pretty cool. The Courtney turned out awesome! A friend of mine has 3D printer and has printed me a few Batman symbols. I’d love to have one.
Everything looks so amazing
So cool, everyone & everything turned out great! Get someone to do a full body scan of the family together at once like a family portrait.
Came to the comments expecting everyone to be asking about you scanning something more personal but it was the most wholesome comment section I've every seen xD

Prices will fall and more powerful and faster scanners will appear soon enough.
What an amazing new toy lol. The fun you can have!
That is so dang cool. I loved the scan of Nicole. Absolutely fantastic device. ❤

Oh my gosh I see I can get this in Canada 🇨🇦 woohoo!!
Omg Ben you need to make that mirror with Nicole's face as a Halloween special 💡
You could do the "viral" water rimple resin technique on the mirror 😊
That's just crazy. 😮 How accurate they come out.🙂
Well that is most definitely getting my attention, that is a *world* better than all the previous consumer-level scanners I've seen before!
That is so cool! I can't believe how tiny you were able to make Elliot! Nicole and Courtney look amazing!
It's impressive what the creality can do!! Hahaha, didn't expect that ending!
Thanks Mate 😂

Very cool! Your scanned items came out really well! Nice work!
You are truly lovely people. God bless you.
Ben was like a kid on Christmas with the scanner. It's so cool to see him getting excited and maybe a bit inspired about how he can use the scanner in his art.
Simply awesome video. I'm going to get one now. For my starwars action figures

Omg that machine is crazy
That is so awesome 👍😮😎
Oh I bet your going to do all kinds of cool things coming !!!
Definitely 😊

That owl needs to go in an egg. It's awesome to see Nicole in more videos.
Absolutely love the prints , wonder how pet with fur or feathers would work out
I've been wanting to make 3D printed bobbleheads of people for ages... it's great to see that this tech is finally becoming a bit more affordable!
That scanner is incredible! You could do some pretty cool things with that, I imagine!
That ending was brilliant! Well done!!!
i use an app to 3d scan and works as well as this most times, but this is really simplified because of the 1 click to fix the model and make it solid etc.. great review on it ben, the scans come out great and seems real user friendly
Good stuff!
I love seeing cool tech advance into the realm of personal use.
The scanner is amazing quality 😊. Thanks for showing us how it works 😊
Those 3D prints came out really good Ben. Youre gona have heaps of fun with that 😆
I think, if I ever get a 3D printer, I would want the kind you have. My son bought one of the filament type, but one of the servo motors didn't work. The face came out incredible. 👍
A resin hologram with Courtney would be awesome.
Nice scan
The 3 D scanner is awesome 👍😘so many possibilities with it ❤️
That is amazing! Elliot eggs will be awesome. Eggs with your face would be great too!
Thanks Linda, I’ll see what I can do 😊
The smaller Elliotts would also make great key chains or give aways. That scanner is really awesome. Gives you endless possibilities for your eggs, frogs eyes/wings among other things.
Danke für das interessante und lustige video. Deine Mädels sind perfekt. In echt und als gedruckte Modelle 👍👍
Your family is such good sports and this was fun to watch
I really need to get a scanner.
Wow! That is soooo cool! You are right the possibilities are totally endless! Don't have to much fun with the new toy!!! What did Courtney and Nicole think of the prints of them? Have a great week. Take care n happy creating. Keep smiling 😃

Way too cool and nice compact size!

Wow! looking forward to this!

SUPER COOL !!! Love it ❤❤❤❤
That was so cool! I totally want one now

You should put Nicole’s face into a tree trunk! It reminds me of those tree face ornaments ;]
Pretty neat. Will be even neater when they come down in price.
Awesome Video Ben & Nichole also i think the 3d prints are absolutely stunning and Awesome and i hope you are all well🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Wow this is so cool love this
I want one of these so bad. I have so many things I want to do but I don't have the skills in blender yet. Those look great
That looks awesome.
Hi mate great video , just letting you know I tried your affiliate link but not working :) cheers
Thanks Mate, I just tried it and it seemed to work, maybe try it again ➡️ shrsl.com/4oxy9
Nicole & Courtney are good sports. The quality is very good. I cannot help be a little chagrinned, having come from the ceramics world a while back. 🤫👍
This was such fun to watch, I need to put this on a wishlist somewhere :'D
wow! now I want this too🤯🤩
I’d like to see the face mounted in a mirror frame :D
Also, could you turn a 3D scan of someone into a figure with moveable joints?
Is that your daughter? She’s beautiful, you must be so proud. The models are excellent.
Thankyou! Yes
That’s pretty awesome!!
❤❤❤ I wouldn't be able to stop😂😂😂😂
luck be with you all
Wow amazing !👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
Amazing, the detail and likeness. We need to see a Jake one, btw hope he is doing good. Thank you 👍
Thanks Alison, yeah he’s doing good 😊
i enjoyed the video
its a cool scanner,
just pricy for some of us average joes
£876.66
I wondered if anyone was going to mention the cost! Finally, thank you.

It's just magick!
a mirror project with your wifes face could be cool. just a thought
Did you have any problems with giving Creality Scan software access to external camera?
oh wow that is so cool!
That's crazy how good technology is nowadays. Imagine if you painted the figurines
well out of my price range, but a lovely bit of kit
That is really awesome. Super Cool 👍😎👍😎👍😎
I don't think that price is too bad considering the technology involved.
You had alot of background noise (hissing) at the beginning of the vid
Fragon can be scanned oh that would be awesome
