As someone who has mostly Linux machines, being so anti Windows that you won't even spoof KMS and block MS telemetry to use software is baffling to me. That being said, you might be able to run it under wine but with the driver situation I'm not sure
@ nope won’t bother. If a developer doesn’t care enough to code for a better OS then program is probably sub par anyway.
@@terrybaileysr.3714While I somewhat agree...but there's also reality and bills that need to get paid. So totally understand coding for the 90% not the 4% but I don't have to like it.
Can I do this with one rtlsdr dongle @w6iwn sota & ham radio
Yes, you can. You may not hear all of the traffic depending on the system and how busy it is. I started with just one. SDR does a whole lot more than just this, too! It's a fun tool to have.
@@W6IWN_RadioI mainly just want to listen to fire radio
@@W6IWN_Radiohave you ever done this on raspberry pi 4b?
@Ojibs Yes, with a java app called SDRtrunk. I did have Unitrunker open once in Wine, and then it crashed on my Pi.
@@W6IWN_Radiois there a way to contact you for help setting my sdr up on my pi because when I look at my frequencies I have 5 control channels according to rr
Will it work on linux
I got it to open with Wine once my Raspberry Pi, but it broke. Possibly on a real machine and a different distro. I was using RPI64. I can get SDRtrunk to run on Linux (it's java) it does P25 systems, but it doesn't decode EDACS.
🐧 sudo
@@W6IWN_Radio My understanding is that EDACS (Harris Corp.) hasn't been made since 2012, and stopped operation in 2017. The inability to decode it shouldn't be a problem since anybody still using it will end up switching to P-25...
