把is hard to understand though Chinese is my first language I was also baffled when I read ur comment,I even googled it.I think it’s an adjective to strength the tone like我把他给揍了 把书给（我）扔了 like for,throw the book for me

I think that 给 is almost always followed by a 'person', and not directly by a 'thing'.
So, we can say 给他一件毛衣 ("give him a sweater"), but 给一件毛衣 ("give a sweater") would be unusual.
However, I think that 送 can be followed by a 'person', or directly by a 'thing'.
So, we can say 送他一件毛衣 ("give him a sweater") or 送一件毛衣 ("give a sweater").
