  • Permission to dig a planted corn field. Or should I say Colonial Copper field. We went back to the big farm and it didn't disappoint. We dug revolutionary war relics, civil war relics, Big coppers, and silver coins!!

    Outstanding dig, great Hunt, you guys just keep killing it. I am so envious of that fact that you guys are in an area with so much burred in the ground. Once again everyone knows the meaning of being a Hoover Boy!

    That shirt is a jinks. :( :/ but apparently its hard to jinks "The Hoover Boys"! 1899 O is semi key date $10 in G4 No point in grading that half, its to "environmentally damaged" it will come back in a body bag. A few corn stalks is no big loss HH!!

    Imagine finding a 1792 half disme?? Omg you could retire. Lmao. Theres been one on ebay for around $500,000. Could be the same one that was on Pawn Stars. Lol. As far as a Birch Cent goes......never seen a real one. Guess its around the same price.

    Send some of those coppers down this way! Haven't run across one yet here in Texas, unless a wiped 1860s British counts. However, 8 of the 15 Barber dimes I've dug here in the past year had mint marks. 4 O (including an 1897), 2 D and 2 S!

    Nice job respecting the corn, it's not hard to tread lightly though. And I see where the newbie juice reference comes from. Apparently the hater doesn't realize the soil conditions are a lot different down there compared to up here. That does a good job of getting the dirt off before it becomes concrete. Awesome digs bud!

    Another great episode.... Hey, I have a question...in my change I found a 1966 quarter.. No mint . ? Is it has no reeded edge ??? It looks like a small sliver of copper samiched between two silver discs.. You can fit you finger nail in the gap all the way around. Anyway I couldn't find any pics of a 66 from the side ... Thought maybe you might have some info... Thanks for making me go thru all my change from now on.. Lol Like a box a chocolates... HH GL out there

    • @threefortytwo23
      @threefortytwo23 7 лет назад

      Thanks! Your quarter is just a normal '66 that lost it's rim somewhere along the way. Sometimes coins that have been tumbling around in fresh water for a period of time will have that characteristic. HH!

    I just don't understand it, we hunt farm fields here and have never found old coins. You guys find a ridiculous amount of old colonial coins etc it seems every field you guys hunt. You people rubbing those coppers with dirt still on them makes me nervous. I definitely wouldn't be handing my coppers to any of you.

      All depends what was there before the field or how many hands worked the farm back in the day. This field is special

    This would be a lot more fun if you gave us a historical context.. for example, was there a Civil War battle there? Was there a Civil War camp there? What the hell state are you in?
