The fact that there is a WW ad before my video is reeeeeally not sitting right with me 😒 (Because WW and diet culture in general are very harmful, not because I think I’ve been targeted)
When I tried this, I never followed it properly because I skimmed the info, and it was just all overwhelming. And I'm lazy. I turned my head upside down but definitely washed almost all of the conditioner. I often went back in with some on the mids to the ends because it would get tangled otherwise and comb it while the water was running and get it into a few big clumps and squish it a bit. I'd squish out the water a bit and didn't even bother with product because, again, I'm more of a lazy girl than anything. I'd attempt to plop (poorly) with a t-shirt but sometimes cheated and squished it a little with a terry cloth towel because it was too wet. Unsurprisingly, this usually didn't work too well, though I occasionally got a couple lovely s waves and the odd spiral. Usually, it was messy looking. 😅
Oh, and the turning it upside down and running water over it that way always for it sort of stuck to my scalp in the wrong direction. I'd usually get frustrated and comb out most of the wave I got it it. Occasionally, that left me with some pretty, soft waves, but it was usually just messy.
Jordan coming through again! I’m so glad I found your channel. Your videos always brighten my day cause your vibe is just so awesome! Also that jewelry is beautiful. Ima have to get some 😅
When I started styling my hair wavy this year, this is the look I was looking for, and I used similar products. But now I’m going more for the beachy look- which is more natural to my 2a/b hair. I’m struggling a bit with it looking messy and unkempt, but I’ll get there! I will say that my scalp is much happier. And I don’t stress over the labels anymore. I’m just looking for heavy oils and such now.
Love your springy, bouncy look you achieved. Nice to be able to use various methods and products to achieve various styles. Thanks for demonstrating the ability to do so. Merry Christmas!
I remember starting my wavy hair journey back in maybe 2018 or 2019 and wanting 2c-3a hair. From 2014-2018 I just did dutch braids to prevent frizz. I remember using gel for the first time and my expression was jaw dropping. I didn't even know my sort of straight hair had any wave, just thought it was frizz. It looked like 1c-2a hair but the more I did it, it almost seemed like my hair got wavier and wavier because it got healthier. It's now 2a-2c and harder to straighten. I can get those 3a curls if I brush style on my top layers but after a while I just learned to stop forcing a curl. Scrunch in some mousse or foam for a carefree wash day. I haven't even touched gel in months but I'm tempted to try it out again (purely because I ran out of my fave gel and bought another). Those who are new to embracing their hair just play and learn to have fun with it! Plus if you get bored try some heatless curls.
I only started learning how to style my wavy hair back in 2020. It used to be 2b before that time but after two pregnancies it’s 2a. Experimenting is the best! :)
Hi Jordan! Your hair looks amazing and being a wavy gal, I can relate with heavy gels and products. Have you tried Redken volume injection? Amazing for weightless results 😊 I’m not aiming just for results as before because I can’t stand my hair feeling heavy and gunky. I cleaned up my product graveyard and will get rid of those for the same reasons. Do you remember the video when you did the Laura method with half of a huge bottle of conditioner without rinsing it out? It made me cringe as I could feel the buildup in my own hair just watching 😂😂 Happy holidays to you and your family xxxxx
I do like the NYM hard hold gel for definition and volume but it does make my hair feel dirty. Not a terribly bad thing but you won’t be running your fingers through it lol.
Don't come for me, but I think your hair looks pretty. It's a nice vaiation that i think would be beneficial to incorporate periodically. I know it wouldn't be beneficial for your hair to use these products regularly, though. I also know it is most important for YOU to love your hair routine and how your hair looks. Much love.

I don't think you can Control the ads on RUclips🙃
@@debraparsons2618 oh I know! Just irritating to see something I super disagree with promoted before my video 🙃
@@JordanFaith Super Annoying😕

I’m 2a and I’m in the same spot pretty much :) sometimes I feel just a bit messy, but overall I’m usually comfortable and happy with the beachy look!

Lol yes, Laura method makes my hair feel so gunky and yuck 😅
I haven’t tried Redken!
Have you tried the nym curl talk shampoo? If so, what did you think?
Yes, I love it. That’s definitely my favorite product from the Curl Talk line

I can’t stand that feeling 😅 I’m glad I’m not the only one who experiences that though!
Could *not* agree more! ❤
Thank you! 😁

I think my hair looks pretty too :)
Just not a good routine for me to use consistently, and not a good feeling from that gel
