Great video Fin, I recognised the truck from harvest time while I was carting in our own grain to the Port Lincoln Grain Terminal. But only get to drive a single trailer (for now), but hoping to upgrade to 2 trailers in the future. Liked hearing your driving tips for going around the roundabouts; any other tips you can give out on future videos about the different driving techniques would be a great lesson to learn, as I noticed this year there were a lot more drivers on the roads which have only just upgraded from single to road train licenses. Keep up the good work. Those ships will keep coming right up to the start of next harvest 👌👍🙂

Very familiar young pom driver. I drove WA diesel road train nearly 20 years ago. Most tractors/prime movers were not cab over units, so that stray kangaroos/camels/steers did not end up wrapped round the driver's knees. Please more on your rig, checking couplings, airlines etc. Do you do a hard brake check first? Can you do a coupling turntable locking pin from the cab so that emergency reversing of the whole rig is possible?

What is your name as some call you Fin and others call you Finno. The 2 videos I’ve watched I don’t think you’ve mentioned your name, and where in the UK are you from. Can I also ask, which part of Australia are you based, which town village city. Can I also ask, now that you are there, how is your accommodation ? Are you renting sharing ? How far from your depot do you live and what is life like there for socialising ie beers, food, stores and community etc etc. thanks for taking the time on the video about how to get to Australia and training etc etc

A lot of UK drivers start off in NZ then once they have citizenship then they can get a job in OZ..
I came out to NZ 15 years ago as they had a shortish of fuel tanker drivers because a lot of Kiwis were leaving NZ to work in OZ.
I've been retired now for 4 years & was talking to an ex driver & he was saying there often looking for drivers & the thing now is there are a lot of Indian drivers getting on the fuel , there like your polish in the UK.
Also the shifts out here in NZ are a lot harder than back in the UK..

These 417 visas are such a great opportunity if you gain the right skills like you have done. You can see the country and earn proper money while doing it. It is a buzz. I came to Australia from the UK in 2006 and went to Kalgoorlie to get work in the mines. Do you think you will be able to transfer onto a 457 visa and then residency at the end of three years? I reckon it would be a huge come down to have to go back to UK wages and conditions after Australia.

Great video. Good info into the day to day. How's the grub ? Try to be a good boy, and stay away from Hungry Jack's. 😅
How's the wildlife. I was on the goldcoast for a while. Missing it big time.
Until the next one. Keep it safe

Thank you very much. Out in the outback the grub can be a bit greasy, servo’s etc, but out in SA it’s all good, able to nip to Cole’s etc.
Wild life is insane, roo’s, lizards. Thanks for watching, big stuff coming in the next.

@Young British Outback Trucker UK 🇬🇧 and Ireland 🇮🇪 are on the same time. 5 to 12 on a Saturday night. Just on WhatsApp with my nephew, who is in the goldcoast . I'm subscribed, so I'll be looking forward to your uploads. I fell in love with the country when I was there. I've subscribed to a few other sites in Australia, all to do with truckin.
Keep it safe, see on the next one
