Aventure camp is a Ripoff, Disventure camp is a cool fan made series.
If Disventure Camp is considerable as a ripoff, then every other TD-inspired series out there would be considered rip offs, which... no.
I think one of the main differences between the 2 shows is that Total Drama focuses more on humor/comedy, whereas Disventure Camp focuses more on strategy, which I think is really cool for both shows
I just think it’s a different spin on the Total Drama formula and it’s more like Survivor

Disventure camp is not a rip-off, but IS ripping off certain assets. Sure, you can't rip off an art style but even the most recent episode (DCAS ep5) has a literal chicken from Total Drama.
I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure there are some ridnculous race backgrounds in the first episode of all stars lol
Not to mention tons of other traced assets and animations, like the James running animation being a literal copy of Chase's running animation but worse. This is what Terry McGurrin meant with DC taking elements from TD, but Jared and many others completely missed his point.

actually it does. The art style’s creator was one of the animators for total drama, so they do own the art. But other than that, yes it’s supposed to be an animated version of total drama.

As disventure camp used total drama’s original characters like chris mclean, chef, and even making chris’ daughter he host, Christal Mclean which is ILLEGAL because they are not allowed to use their characters in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM

Disvinture camp is now better then total drama new seasons believe it or not it got better drama the villains don’t get plot armor and every elimination make total sense and no off screen sh*t something the new total drama season can’t relate to hope the best for disvinture camp ❤
Don't know if as a whole is better than TDI , but it wins a lot of points by not having the farts fetish the original series has.

Something no one talks about in the beta is Nick, he made it extremely far without doing much and didn’t really have any allies and in the beta he said that Dakota was his sister and that’s why his parents are overprotective, too bad it isn’t canon anymore
They had to change the beta because Fresh TV lawyers got involved. It was for the better though, they managed to improve a lot and give DC it's own identity.

To be honest Disventure camp is a mix of total drama & Survivor
at the end of the day, it was never a ripoff, but inspired by tdi.
If disadventure camp is a ripoff than every other fan made total drama project is. No hate
I think at this point, the Total Drama format - Scripted show using the format of a competitive reality television show for its structure - is a genre. A nanogenre, sure, but still a genre. (I'd also argue that Total Drama has always had it's flag firmly planted in the comedy side of things, although there's always been a dramatic element to it - as good comedies often have, Disventure Camp feels like it more leans into the dramedy side.)
I swear Disventure Camp is better than every 13 episode Total Drama season..

@@pepsicannotYes they do, but are they really better than DC1 for example? In 13 episodes they accomplish a lot and almost nothing feels rushed, or idiotic comedy. Not saying ROTI or Island 2023/24 are bad though, but I think we can easliy realize DC1 nailed the 13 episode season concept the best. Though maybe it's because TD usually did 26 episodes and everything after season 3 is a result of less time than usual, while DC always worked with 13 minus the beta, going from less to more.
Both DC and TD are no means rip offs in fact Jared himself mentioned TD was in inspiration for DC, the only similar thing is that both shared the same art style which is pretty common for TD fan projects.
Tone is also different but also restriction, DC is funded independently, they don’t have any S&P to change or network meddling unlike TD. Issue is that we’ll fans seem to not understand how production works and Terry who was a writer not herd of DC means that he can get vocal about it, which make the agreement a bit rough.

Which is exactly the problem, the show has no real identity, it is completely associated with TD by everyone instead of forming a fanbase of its own from the get-go.

It’s NOT a ripoff for the big things or art style but IS a ripoff only for challenges like some of the challenges from dc are familiar from total drama
Well, they have copied a few things. For example, Terry McGurrin said on twitter that the disventure camp sign is like the total drama sign (as in the sign at the campfire couple part of the intro and the dc sign on dc season 1 poster)

yup! the next video is planned to be longer then the others and has a script plus more complex editing, hence why it’s taking longer. I hope to have another part uploaded either this month or next month!

I kinda feel like total drama reboot is a rip off of disventure camp, Riya>Priya, Riya taking aiden to f3 who's mad at james, and Jame who's sad with aiden, then you have bowie taking priya to f3 who's mad at millie, and millie who's sad with priya. So if anything fresh tv is in the wrong

TD isnt ripping off DC the reboot was written first also priya and riya having a similar name isnt copying they just both have the same ethnicity and have pretty common names
the reboot was already in production before dc2 came out, also it was already written and probably animated before the season 2 finale came out, so your points don't really make sense

People on TikTok annoy me by how they say it’s a ripoff. It legit makes me so mad. And plus with me not being so happy with Terry after listening to the Christian Potenza podcast. They need to understand that these shows are made by people who want to be you. People who want to be you don’t push others down. Katy Perry was at her lowest in 2007 and she was able to have a high that year. This just shows you can’t say someone steals your format (cough *mojo games* cough) before it was your I.P. and for people calling out that to you is so insane.
