Shrek2 and Shark Tale were made at the main Glendale studio in 2004. Wild Robot was also made at the main Glendale studio. Megamind2 was not actually made at the main studio it was contracted out to a vendor. Also Megamind2 was not a theatrical release like the others in this comparison. I loved this book. Too young me it felt like it didn't care how nature was like. Nature was nature, yes those side characters did not survive last winter. I was my first exploration into 'sc- fi'
I’m my option (from the trailer), no. I read both of the books (and I’m going off of memory here so I might be inaccurate) and I feel like it’s going to be bad. If they want to make it faithful to the original that made it good, here’s a list of inaccuracies. (Major spoiler warning) 1. The where 3 Roz-like robots with guns sent, not like 50 and they sure didn’t look like that; one got his head blown off with a gun, another guy fell to his death, and the last guy got his legs mutilated and crawled to Roz to tell her to get in the dropship before dying or else they’d send more people. 2. The original had Roz getting absolutely wrecked and destroyed trying to survive, even saying she didn’t recognize herself anymore after ~3 months. 3. The duckling was rescued by Roz when a mudslide on the island killed the rest of the ducks; which a fox wanted to eat anyway. 4. Roz was supposed to be a humanoid robot, nowhere in the books did it mention elastic man arms, or tentacles, or go, go, gadget tool hands or RGB gamer lights. 5. The book talked about rising sea levels and the fact multiple animals had slowly starved to death due to limited resources that might have gotten cut. 6. When Roz was sent back they did a check to make sure she wasn’t defective and she was allowed to keep her memories and was shipped off to a rural farm with no other robots, where 2 kids proceeded to rip out her insides and put her back together to remove a tracker. 7. She was the only survivor of a boat that sank containing Rozzum Robotic Units while the rest of the broken robot parts washed up on the shore while she was in a wooden box.

It really took me this long to notice at 7:31 that there's a jab at Pixar with an A113 easter egg
there’s a few A113 references in this movie; i was shocked when it clicked for me lol
2:53This was based on a book and in the book the robot learned the animal language and could speak like animals can
i think it could save DW im hearing fantastic things about it Also we got dogman and Bad guys 2 next year
this movie is based of the book and they talk in the book so I'm glad they do talk
Just watched it today. It’s awesome, go see it.
THE WORDLESS TRAILER WAS AMAIZNG
as soon as the birds started talking....... i was out!
From what I’ve heard, the reason the robot and animals talk in the movie is because they do the same thing in the book.
Guys. Go watch this movie. It’s INCREDIBLE.
in the og book, the animals and robot did have convos, somehow..
Dude, i love the books. And that means the movie (probaly movie(s)) is gonna be LITTERALY GOATED!
"Can The Wild Robot save DreamWorks...?"
Mate, DreamWorks has always been an inconsistent studio. You should change your title.
No because this is the last movie that is being animated by dreamworks in house
The dogman movie is not being animated by dreamsworks
Dreamworks is now dead thanks to illumination
3:11 Did you even read the book
ikr
FOR REAL bro didn’t even do his research
you just unlocked a book in my mind i completely forgot
thats wild
Did bro forget this is a book adaptation?

@@coachcherokee1488 Im sorry I think I misheard, did you just cal Tarzan *mid?*
Personally, this all looks really good. They have everything in the book accurate to the otters activating the robot to the fire. The only thing I’m worried about is if they don’t have a winter, which is one of the biggest parts of the book where lots of animals die and basically, this makes a robot realize that they need to fend for others and not just themselves and their gosling Also, you seem pretty mad about them throwing in the plot but you have to realize it’s made for fans of the book who know the plot!!!
hey! no spoilers,
but the movie? its amazing
...but its definitely not saving dreamworks.
what does dreamworks need to be saved from is dreamworks being attacked by sharks a kidnapper or about to die because of cancer and how will the wild robot save them from dying and going to heaven or hell
@@sfdfddgg-jb9mq ...what?
@@sfdfddgg-jb9mqDreamworks is losing money and this is the last movie being animated in house

I noticed too lmao
What do you mean save?😭 They've always had inconsistent movie outputs 😭😭😭😭
Trust me the book is amazing
I read this book for 3rd grade (those read-alouds went hard af) and LOVED IT. I am super excited to see what happens, and I hope I’m not disappointed.
OMG! I loved this book SO MUCH! It got me into really reading long chapter books for hours! Wow I love REVISITING THIS!
I don’t think he knows this was a book
hes mentioned the books in previous videos and he even acknowledges in one of them that the animals do in fact talk
@@Gobble640 lol then why is he still so focused on it XD
we read this in middle school, im so happy to see a movie out of it
*whistle* “Load the gunboat and fire as bares!” *Motzart 25th symphony starts playing*
I believe that this is gonna be the best movie of the year
I loved the wild robot book!It was such a beautiful story and I hope the movie does it justice.
I hope so, I don't want DreamWorks to disappoint
This movie should be good. It should bring a beautiful message like “technology is becoming our second nature” or something

Megamind2 is like a straight to DVD movie kind of like how Disney used to with its main properties like Lion King 2 and Little Mermaid 2 straight to VHS.
I love that death is a big thing in this movie, and it's realistic. ive been waiting for this.
The last wish was kinda over the top with the concept of death for me, but this is perfect
2:50 I’m here to be annoyed because I read the wild robot in the book the robot learns the language of the animals from camouflage so that why they can talk
I read the first two books a couple YEARS ago. Been waiting for this man.
I normally don’t comment but I thought I would because the funniest thing happened to me while I was watching, I got a wild robot trailer add 😂
My school was one of the schools that got the book for free and I’ve loved the series ever since (idc how old I am) so if this revives dreamworks I will be very happy. :) the only thing that irritates me is the fact that the robot is so far off from the book pictures
I really hope this movie is good, because this movie actually looks so interesting 😭
The animals have to talk. I've been reading the books for years. It's a very pivotal part of the story.
I read the wild robot awhile ago, but I am excited for the movie.
I’m very excited to see The Wild Robot. I have a feeling that it’s going to be one of my favorite movies. Also I think Dreamworks will make more awesome projects in the future. I have faith in them.
Can confirm, the reviews are right. This movie is incredible!
I loved it, great atmosphere but a lil filler-ey at the end
Bro is underestimating this movie so much this movie will be great
I remember our 4th grade teacher reading this book to us years ago. I have high expectations.
Wow. I thought we were never gonna get it back. First I read the books, and now this?
I'm reading the book right now, and it's so cute
Dreamworks has always been a hit or miss
the wild robot book was PEAK

I’ve read all the wild robot books. There are three of them and I’m really excited for this movie.
Me: getting a ad for the wild robot. For some seconds I thought it was the video
I remember reading this book as a kid and it almost made me cry
This movie looks so pretty... I think it's in a similar "painterly storybook" style as The Last Wish, maybe with more emphasis on brushstrokes. Eye candy...
Just watched the movie.. and yes, yes it can!
Judging by how It’s doing at the box office, It’s not gonna
By the way, this is a book turned movie. I’ve read the wild robot, and I enjoyed it very much!
Remember that another studios made Megamind 2, it was only released by Dreamworks. Dreamworks animation studios only made Kung Fu Panda 4 and Orion and The Dark this year.
I remember reading this book for the first time and it was one of if not the best written book I’ve ever read
(Major spoiler warning)
Yeah I'm not super on board with them removing the geometric artstyle of the books
I’ve read all the books for the wild robot and I am so exited for this movie!
Legit watched it, I think it has!!! One of the best movies I have ever seen by far!!! The story i compelling, animation GORGIOUS and overall I think everyone should watch it!
i clicked on this video and i got an ad. guess what the ad was
