I can see where would people would find this disappointing, but I found it sincere. He does not try to impress with speed, and he has no immediate techniques to fall back on (due to his creative process) and while I do not appreciate his subject matter I do enjoy listening to his mix tapes. His constant evolution of similes, metaphors, and other spoken literary devices is quite impressive. He doesn't show off, he is trying to express himself with the art that he was forced into at a young age

But he doesn't write his songs down, he makes them up in his mind. And if you would listen to his songs from Da Drought 3, Dedication 2, Tha Carter II, THe Suffix and The C3 Sessions, you'd know he actually was pretty damn good.
