Hey Matt. I made a very similar one for the fair I did yesterday. I had canvas, I did the hinges , but I use the reverse side, put some foamboarf in it, then attached clothespins spaced out and when dry hung my earrings on business card from the clothespins. Set up and breakdown was so easy thanks for sharing
Such a cool idea!! Im going to make some of these for my earrings and necklaces! Thanks a bunch Matt! Except I am putting wire screen on the backs of the frames so I can poke my earrings thru that. We make earring frames that way with old frames we repurpose and I never thought about making portable earring racks that way but now I am going to!! Yay!
I can't tell you how much I love watching you create your displays. They are easy to make and cost effective. AND FANTASTIC LOOKING!!!!!! You give me all the tools to succeed in a business. I am indebted to you for your graciousness and kindness THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Your tutorials are so great, I really look forward to "whatever" you've dreamed up Matt!! This portable earring display is genius,man.... I'm waiting for my canvas frames to be delivered, I found a 12"x16" six pack on Amazon that was "used/like new" for a very reasonable price... while I'm waiting for the frames to get here I have been looking at bronze hardware for the display, just for fun, (handle, hinges, and also a bronze closing hasp (instead is😊f the screws and hair tie you suggested). This little project has become a major splendid creation for me... I even found a bunch of "corner protectors (also bronze of course) that were in beautiful shape for 25 cents at the 2nd hand store, also matching hinges and an old "barn door bronze 4"groovy handle for $3 all together. I actually found several decorative bronze closing latches (all thrown into an old shoebox) while I was lookin' around. The whole shoe box sold for $2.50! What fun..thanks Matt! I look forward to your next brainstorm... SB
Made one and it was so easy. Thanks. So much better than my previous version. I had to put individual pairs of earringsin my display and it took me forever. Now I just open it up and it just looks awesome. Love the fact that I don't spend a lot of time on setting this up.
Thanks so much great idea, now I can organise instead of having them chucked in a takeaway tub. Thanks from the UK for all the tips and tricks you teach us, much appreciated.
Thank you for ALL your clever idea's! I've learned so much from you watching your videos! Great sense of humor, I'm always happier for tuning in! God bless you, Matt!!!😎✌💕💃
Thanks for this great tip on diy displays. I've made jewlery before but i dont have any displays. I stopped making stuff but im wanting to get back into making pieces again. Thanks for this!!
Finally! It's an actually easy DIY portable case. I made one following your directions, and it looks and works great! I love it and am already planning my next one.
This video is the only video makes sense I have good expensive jewelry that needs a closed up case where everyone else is making open displays which is fine if you have cheap jewelry Tbank you for the tips in this video
omg I been going crazy looking around town for just a simple little ring and ear stud case I looked around my room and found several unused canvases 🤣 now I want to do this Thank you
OMG you have made my life easier. After watching your video, I went out & bought canvases then made 5 displays boxes like yours and wow I love that idea. You will save me a lot of time loading up at the end my fall craft shows. If anyone askes I will let them know I got the idea came from you. Also love your piano playing, nothing like the sound of a real piano.
Thank you for the great ideas. My wife and I love your channel. We are new at this and already have made several pairs of earrings, all with your help. Thank you again for introducing us to such a fun hobby.
I love making jewelry and talking with folks at the shows but I HATE the set up of all my fiddly long dangly earrings! I am hoping this great idea will help! Your videos and tutorials are inspiring and fun! Thanks
Love this idea! I’ve made three 12x12 and two 11x 14 and two 16x20. Thank you so much!! I was wondering about how you put them together but saw the second part. Great job 💜
Jerrys has sales from time to time for a case of student canvasses super cheap. I’ve ordered 16x20 for $2 each. The 1/8th inch ply is known as luan. I’ve also used tile board from Home Depot. Watered down discount Walmart acrylic works pretty well. Couldn’t you use a cheap picture frame? It comes with backing and has a built in tripod 😃
Omg love this and can also use little screw in hooks for pendants. I have a weekend craft show every month and this gives me a case for each. Heck maybe screws could hold my bracelets. So going to try this.
Totally awesome! Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm going shopping tmrw for supplies. ☺♥ p.s. Thank you for update on how to sandwich all tgtr, I would have just screwed them but like that you glued and screwed the three pieces tgtr. ☺♥
I was thinking about doing the frame ,but using screen mesh instead of canvas. But this is great . Want to start selling my jewelry and didn't know how to display it.
The middle part of the video was cut out - I glued the layers together with common wood glue. Sorry for the confusion.
I love you. I had been asking different people where they got their cases and no one would tell me. Now I can make my own. Yours is much nicer.
YUP same here!
I made mine after watching your video!!! Thank you for sharing this!
It is not just that you are a good person, you are a kind person. Thank you so much, successful dude, for sharing! 🌻

That's cool. Thank you for sharing this idea.
Use an umbrella, stick the earrings, broaches through the nylon fabric, easy, portable but not good for rain! Huge surface to cover, easy portability.
"Take a screen shot..." while singing made me Subscribe .
Awesome video! Thank you so much!!

You could just put the necklace on an earring wire to hang. You may need to adjust wire a little.
This is sooooo awesome! thanks for sharing this treasure with us! 💖💕
I do this with frames, tulle and ribbon from the Dollar tree. So convenient
Handmadebyjeanie do you have any videos on how you make yours?
Barbara Gomez Actress sorry no I don’t. I do it the same way he demonstrates. I glue the frames together using wide ribbon instead of the hinges.
Yes Handmadebyjenie I would love to se a video.
Cass Wms here’s a link to video I did on FB. When I do another one. I’ll film

Wow thanks sooooo much. Need to make this
I was thinking about doing the frame ,but using screen mesh instead of canvas. But this is great . Want to start selling my jewelry and didn't know how to display it.
You can use screen but you won't have the hollow cavity for the earring hooks if you don't have a double frame with a backing
Great idea Ty for sharing 😀
This is pure genius.
Amazing!, thank you!
They have canvases at dollar tree now, for small cases. And thumb tacks with hooks! Ideas ideas ideas 💡 💡 💡
