I picked up Skull & Co.'s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet edition NeoGrip to match my new Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch OLED, but it seems like there have been a few changes made to the NeoGrip since I first got my hands on one last year. Let's check out what's different!

skull & co should have included the matching thumb grip with this edition.
they did that with their gamecube edition.

i got the new white on which looks the same as the pokemon one but it seems to bulge in the dock. is this safe? it does say dock friendly on my box though

Yeah, I think I could have done a better job of communicating that clearer. That’s why I made the video even after these limited edition ones had sold out. I’m not 100% certain, but I’m pretty sure all NeoGrips are manufactured this way now, including the regular models

You can! There’s a little removable section that accounts for the regular Switch being slightly less wide

I heard these grips are scratching the back of switch consoles?

Hasn’t happened to me and I haven’t heard that about this grip either. You can see how install it in the vid - removing and then reattaching one joy-con while in the grip, so you don’t actually slide the Switch in. You might be thinking of Satisfye’s grip? That one doesn’t really scratch the back of the Switch either, but the little silicone nubs on the inside of the grip can leave shiny streaks on the back. Hope that helps!

Yep, I’ve got a tempered glass screen protector on mine and it doesn’t get in the way at all

Did you ever try detach the handle grip and put in standar pouch? Will it fit?

Just wanted to say that if you are a NEW Switch owner, do NOT buy one of these immediately after ordering your system. I did a lot of research at the time of my purchase of a new OLED model, and nearly everyone on RUclips hyped up that you needed a "grip" in order to play with any degree of comfort. That said, I ordered the Skull & Co Neo Grip and spent a good amount of money on other accessories to go along with it. Bottom line is that I play my Switch 99% of the time in docked mode, and really regret every buying this grip... not that it's BAD or doesn't do what it promises, but simply because FOR ME, I have almost no use for it. TLDR -- DON'T even think about buying one of these unless you've played your Switch in handheld mode enough to need it.

I guess that's a fair point, I just can't imagine only playing the Switch docked. I probably play about 75% in handheld mode, and that's even just around the house.

why buy an oled when u play it docked most of the time? wouldn't it be better if you just get a gen 2 switch? main purpose of the oled is to play it handheld because of the large screen
