I was approached by a friend to make a knife for a Christmas present. So, I figured I would hold onto the footage for the 2025 Makers Challenge. It was a good idea since this was a rather challenging project but it turned out FANTASTIC!

Absolutely gorgeous - nice work!
Beautiful workmanship. Love it. Thanks for participating in the Maker's Challenge!
GREAT JOB BEAUTIFUL ❤😊
OUTSTANDING!!! THE POLISH IS AMAZING AND IT IS NOT ONLY OBSIDIAN-YOU CAN DOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Turned out awsome 😊
It is beautiful.
Well that’s a little nerve racking working with a rock that thin. That’s where you have to really hope there are no micro fractures in the rock that show up just as you’re finishing up. I’m impressed with your steady hand making that groove! The end product looked very neat and clean, you do really nice work.
That was lovely!! Beautiful stone, fantastic present, I am sure the owner is ecstatic!!
It turned out awesome!!! Somebody is going to be very happy 😊. Good job!!! Love it🎉
Very cool.
Beautiful!
That came out just gorgeous Kyle! Congrats on that! And for having a wonderful project for the makers challenge #5! That's awesome!🎉
Wow awesome job! It looks fantastic!
Wow.....very tough to work something with those dimensions. I would have broken it for sure! Excellent work sir!
Super cool
Very cool project 😎😎😎
Beautiful Kyle!
Really excellent craftsmanship! Such a beautiful upgrade to that handle!
Very nice, Kyle! The knife is beautiful!
very beautiful , and of course the best shine a stone could get, but the trick part was the choosing of a chunk of rock that you could work so thin and have stay whole, as someone who couldn't pull off this technical of a project its almost nerve wracking to watch and relieving to see it finished ! very nicely done !
Very nice work , truly great craftsmanship
Wow! What a great project. It is absolutely beautiful. Great job!!!
Unique and challenging! First time visitor to your site. 😊
That knife handle is beautiful! A beautiful speciman and excellent craftsmanship.
Bravo 👏, you chose a great challenge, and knocked it outta the park Kyle!!! You got to use your new vice as well 😊 I was thoroughly into the video you made too! So well explained and shot, I almost feel as if I could replicate the steps…but definitely not result in the expertise of your skill’s🤘😎👏
Oh wow. The rock u use is stunning❤️. Beautiful work👍😍
Wow that's so cool
Oh that turned out so sick! That sagenite piece worked so nicely. Great flippin job Kyle! I loved this! The recipient is going to be so happy with this gift I'm sure. Cheers to another great year!
Beautiful! Great choice for the stone. I love the blue/gray/black colors of the stone with the black knife with white markings.
This community is pretty special. The creativity and execution from all of you is truly wonderful. Your knife handle is stunning ❤
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Your project is beautiful!
Man, that seems like that project looked like it could have taken a turn for the worst at anytime, being that it was so thin.
Well done!
Oh man....the further I got, the more on egg shells I was walking!
Thank you!
Congratulations Kyle🎉 9K subs! We need to party 😅. Your Makers Challenge Project came out beautifully!
Nice challenge Kyle!! I'm really wanting to do knife scales now. 👍😎👻🌶
Nailed it Kyle!! Great job, and congrats on 9k subs..I seen it coming!
Great project, itu4ned out beautifully. The way you cut the grove for the blade was brilliant
Congratulations Kyle Blessings, and Success for continually channel growth, and also for your business.
Kyle Thank you for all you do for us. The Knife looks light weight to carry, and the blade handle is sleek looking Very Nice Kyle😊😊
Great job! I like it way better than the oriiginal. :-)
A very detail oriented project. I would have expected nothing less. What a beautiful finish to the knife. Super job.
Well done Kyle. The material you used is absolutely gorgeous! Having to cut that one area so thin, that was nail biting but in true Kyle fashion, your skill with lapidary shone once again. Thank you for being part of The Maker’s Challenge.
