Aww, thank you so much! Despite being out for over a decade, I still hear about new players checking out the game. As far as I know, the SC2 community is still going strong & relatively stable!
I love Nuke. I'll even send multiple ghosts to criss cross nuke strikes and if they live long enough, 5 nukes still result in three hits. Noob tactics I know, but ever since I started playing OG Starcraft, Nuke Spam was always one of my favorite things.
Ooh lockdown would be quite an addition to their arsenal at this point. I suppose the Raven's Interference Matrix is the intended successor to Lockdown!
this video has made me obsessed with using ghost along with mass mines as an epic one two punch. have the mines surround the ghost during a nuke to defende it from phoenix any enemies trying to deny dat nukeeeee
Ghosts can be a great addition! Since spellcasters or specialist units (looking at you, Brood Lords) are usually needed vs Mech, Ghosts fit in well to cover some weaknesses.
I'm pretty new to this game and for me the Ghosts look OP, so I have a question: are they? I understand that for them to be good you have to control them pretty well, but their abilities, especially the Snipe, look like low-risk high-reward kinda stuff
Ghosts are quite strong vs both Zerg & Protoss (much less useful vs Terran). In a setting where you have 1000 APM & immaculate control, I would wager Ghosts could be considered OP. For anyone below professional tournament level though, the control required is usually the tradeoff that makes them not so OP. I wouldn't recommend practicing with them until you have your basic gameplay mechanics (e.g. consistently making workers, production timings etc.) down, but they're definitely a unit that you want to have on your radar.
When you fight terran vs zerg: -How to counter ther heavy unit army: •Do you have ghosts: -If yes: •Use it -If not: •Train them -If you don’t want to have ghosts: •You’re Dumb
3 things are needed to deal with Nukes: Detection, Units & Attention. If nukes are prevalent, keep mobile detectors with your army / defenses. The hardest part is identifying where the Nuke is landing. A good habit to try is moving your army as soon as you hear the Nuke detected announcement, and then checking your actively mining bases for the red dot. Single nukes aren't really devastating to buildings, so you should prioritize your army & workers first. Keep a few defenders nearby to try & snipe the ghost, or just move everything to mitigate the hit.
@@IndigosGaming what if they have a huge pack and engage with their whole army covering them. Also. I heard pressing space bar after it says nuke detected will take you to it. But it doesn't work for me. Also sometimes I dont see the red dot
The space bar trick should only work for observers, not the actual players of the game. If they're using the Nukes to zone you away from their army, the best choice is to do something that splits their army / attention up. If you can simply circumvent & surround them from multiple angles, that might work. You may also want to split off some of your forces to hit one of their bases. If they pull back to defend, you have breathing room. If they keep pushing, you destroyed a base. All good things.
Extremely underrated channel. Starcraft 2 deserves more players, just like how you deserve more viewers.

@@IndigosGaming I'd even say it's the best game ever made so far. You can enjoy it in many different ways, either casually or competetively.
Amen to that!
Yup
The nuke is definitely the epitome hability of SC2. It delivers one of those moments you cannot miss to enjoy.
All hail the Terran race. 🙌
Always a fan-favorite, for sure!
hail!
Such an underrated channel, I agree. The joke at 9:32 was just so dry and poignant to the vid, I loved it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Had my ass ROLLING on the ground!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this, I love terran but never used ghosts, now I will do
No problem! Ghosts can be an awesome addition to both Bio & Mech comps, but they do take some control / practice. glhf!
"Nuclear launch detected"! Makes me feel two things: nostalgia and fear! 😂
Great video with a comedic commentary and in depth overview of the unit. New sub!

That it not noob, but race advantage
That its not noob tactic, but race advantage
I come back to this every time to time
I love ghosts. My only gripe is the lack of lockdown from the original game

what an epic outro

thanks, very well put together
I'm glad to hear that; thank you!
That intro though! 😆
helpful thanks!
How did you get the Star Craft in your video footage?
Thanks for this video
No problem! I hope it was helpful.
@@IndigosGaming I have been wanting to incorporate ghosts into my mech

I only need 1 or 2 ghosts for nuking bases while massing Vikings, thors and battlecruisers to do the heavy fighting.
It would be so cool if blizzard remade starcraft and brood wars with the same graphics engine and mechanics as starcraft 2
You can't really outnumber ghosts in TvZ as every ghost has it's own medivac. Vipers could probably be the solution of problem.

If nuke cancel the missile is gone?
Yes! The nuke disappears when the cast starts. If the ghost dies or the player cancels the cast after it starts, the nuke is lost.
