Just the deck title made me laugh out loud! You are such an authentic, funny, entertaining and good hearted person(oh, I recognise one, if I see one)! Stay who you are bro! GO CGB
I remember reading a theory somewhere that if you’re playing a four-color deck, it’s meant to emulate the color that is missing. Pretty amazing for theory crafting, in terms of function and flavor.
Loving the content, the 2022 standard stuff is awesome, oh and congrats on getting No.1 on MTG top5 today!! That top deck Blood on the Snow was just lovely!!!
Reconstruct History is one of my all time favorite cards, and likely is my standard favorite. That said, I've been having trouble making a 2022 mardu history deck work, but the idea of splashing green for Binding of the Old Gods is pretty dank! Treasure Vault has been a great add in to grab back with it too.
I know why binding is in the deck (and green), but I'm pretty sure just dropping the card and playing as just mardu is better. Your mana is way more consistent and the deck becomes more budget as well. If a 4th color was used, I would honestly play blue (go figure) over green just for counterspells to defend reconstruct history.
I was thinking the same thing and am trying a version now running a single copy of Returned Pastcaller, Pillardrop Warden, and Kardur's Vicious Return. Pastcaller is great to get back a Doomskar or Command, I may cut Warden but its a decent option if you need a budget flying blocker and can also bring back instant/sorcery, and the Return is good bringing either back, preferably the Pastcaller. I also slotted in one copy of Vorpal Sword as an additional wincon for late game.
@@UsernameXOXO I agree to the most part. But, for example, when you cast a spell and there isn't even a pause between casting and resolving on arena, because the opponent doesn't have an interactive instant. You can bluff in paper magic. Like you are choosing what you counter.
This reminds me of Ari Lax's Seasons Past control deck from Eldritch moon standard. Grind em, get em, recycle, repeat. Very cool and super fun to play but walking the edge the whole game! That deck eventually inspired. my first awesome edh deck with Meren of Clan Nel Toth at the helm. Then basically everyone built that same deck and shot the wind from my sails and into space, but... That is magic.
i really miss old grixis bolas discard control with disinformation\erasure, added there mastermind for sideboard drag and i was prepared for everything could discard wipe board take control from enemy board use their graveyard with 2 ways, delete 4 copy of cards, counterspell, that deck could everything... fuck i builded it myself and was so happy that it skyrocket to the mystic rank. eh ravnika ((
Having come off an 8-round singleton tournament with a 4c list, I can very much appreciate having to base mulligans on color fixing rather than actual card content or wrath-seeking.
I just made a variation of this deck with the addition of Thrilling Discovery and Unexpected WIndfall to help put cards in the graveyard and its bonkers fun. I am getting my opponents to give me the salty ropes for the first time in the 2022 queue. Apparently goldspan into 3 alrunds epiphanys is okay, but getting back an artifact, enchantment, sorcery, instant and planeswalker (that I still have to pay to play) is too much to handle.
Reconstruct history is no joke. People are sleeping on this card and never see it coming...unless they do, then it gets countered. At that point you can reconstruct your saltiness instead!
There’s no way that first guy ran both havens into a command like that. Are you kidding me? You’re telling me he didn’t draw anything he could’ve done with that man’s instead? Nothing at all?
I'm convinced the WAAAAAA in the Cool Stuff Inc ad is CGB

I love reconstruct history, i have been playing it in every arena format i can since i realized how good it is

non-blue control is my favorite jank archetype! Excited for this one!
I love how scared cgb gets when it comes to man-lands and snakeskin veil. Dudes feel on priority pause is borderline cheating.
Yeah Arena gives a lot of information away.
Too much indeed. Most of the mind games on paper Magic arent usable. Especially while playing Control decks. A shame.
Cool kids are all psychic 🔮 don't you know 😎
@@hugopacheco3575 mindgames require active thinking. So does toggling full control. No difference.

Covert doesn’t go Blue anymore. RIP
Of the last 7 videos posted including this deck, 6 were deck spotlights, and 4 of those had blue in it. Just saying.
but that is why he is covert.
I feel like I should be over the professor symblablabla joke.
But nope... It still gets me every single time 😂

Fun! The mana seems like it could get really frustrating but that reconstruct history looks powerful.
This is what I love about control. It can be whatever you want.

Reconstruct history was a hidden gem
Reconstruct history was a bomb in STX limited if you built your deck appropriately. Excited to see what it can do in constructed.

This made me realize with the new color creature lands a full land deck seems kind of try out worthy
Reconstruct History in a non jeskai deck. BLASPHEMY
This deck is bold, and appears to be strangely good.
I actually did a 2022 update of your Yorion Reconstruct History deck and it's really fun, and pretty good
Into the Story: 4-mana draw 4
Reconstruct History: Is this some sort of rogues joke I generate too much value to understand?
The title made me click faster than I think I ever have 😂 very nice
Wouldn't be spell satchel better than the dungeon artifact?
I was thinking CGB is an anagram of Bone Crusher Giant
No blue control, last days mono red aggro, rogues...wth? Where is the real CGB?
Won't the real blue mage please stand up, please stand up
This goes against all that is holy. I like it.

Nice this is a really cool deck
Guess that’s what we’re calling Dune-brood now
Underappreciated comment
thank you cgb!
Maybe letter of Acceptance is a good choice, as it can sac itself for history and fix the mana.
There’s no way that first guy ran both havens into a command like that. Are you kidding me? You’re telling me he didn’t draw anything he could’ve done with that man’s instead? Nothing at all?
If you're playing black you may as well play Lithoform Blight with all of these creature lands
Gettin' some Dune-Brood on!
overthink overthink oVeRtHinK OvERTHinK!!
I ditched the mana rock for spare supplies. I think it's the better artifact. There are still plenty of better mana sinks in the deck.
could maybe replace binding with the aura that can enchant lands to make them tap for a colorless and also draws on etb
Is that in 2022 standard?
@@ixchel3330 not sure, maybe not
Freaking thank you!
I actually have been using this deck, except I intentionally made it horrible go big or go home nonsense
Please make a venture into the dungeon deck 🙏🙏🙏🙏
What about this deck in Jeskai instead?
The man has lost his marbles! Someone find CGB again!
CovertGoBlue what could i use instead of Doomskar?
Shatter the sky
@@ixchel3330 blood in The Snow Works as well?
@@gnappo That's more expensive and the amount of pathways limit the amount of snow mana.

Any kaldheim sac lands better than treasure vault?
They enter taped
CKC! Professor Onyx
that manabase is the ugliest thing ive ever seen, i love it
this is standard 2022 right?
Best deck name ever hahaha
Woot!
reconstruct history without tymaret calls the dead? unexpected but still seems interesting
Tymaret Calls the Dead is rotating out of standard. This is a rotation proof deck.
Finally, I've made it to the Twilight Zone! Hello, opposite worlders! I assume mono-white and mono-red aggro is dead in this world?
...Guys?
Treasure vault being vulnerable to artefact removal seems bad
What artifact removal does see play (aside from maybe a prismari command here or there)
@@olafthemoose9413 containment breach is a nasty one
Looking at the card choices and mana base this deck is either brilliant or stupid. It's brupid.
nice deck cnb
