I was in your shoes. I've not had any asthma attacks since I moved to Canada. I can agree with you that quality of air in Canada really helps.

I hear you Wolo. I was once in such a situation. What I did before travelling, I consulted with our family health nurse who recommended vaccines before travelling. I had them plus anti malaria drugs. I visited for 2 weeks and never had any health issues at all. Having been away for a long time, I would recommend start with a short visit may be 3 weeks then next time go for longer time. Above all God is our protector wherever we go. Do not fear, Jehovah El Shaddai is with you. This far He has brought you.

It's all about planning. Go to travel clinic, update your vaccines and discuss with your travel clinic doctor. I went back after 16yrs this year for 5 weeks. Take precautions like drinking bottled water only (including brushing), pack diarrhoea medication, pack regular medications (like Tylenol complete, Advil) I have been back over 9 months and I am fine. I would be going back next year. Get your NIN before you leave tho.

You can start a Chemoprophylaxis 1-2 days before arriving Nigeria. And,as soon as you arrive here, you can start on them daily for Malaria. As for the Asthma, you start Prophylaxis as well .Please, don"t be scared, albeit normal. There drugs that can protect you for those 3 weeks, if you chose to.
Concerning the Tonsilitis, you may count on fruits with high vitamin C .Lemon and quite a handful of them can secure your upper respiratory tract infection

Since I left Nigeria and visited for USA my life has changed for good. My visit to Canada was beautiful.
I left Nigeria because of my future and that of my children. Especially for us who come for a humbled beginning.
Everything is not perfect abroad, but if you are hard working, you won’t regret it.

Hello Wolo, my candid advice would be to stay where are. If there is anybody you missed so much, sponsor the person to visit you in Canada instead. After all your mum has been visiting as you rightly stated. It will be nice to visit Nigeria but in view of the challenges you have highlighted, please stay where you are.

Hello Wolo, please I am having the same issues as you before you left and I have been managing it myself.
I am concerned that I need serious medical attention but no sure where to go to.
Please Wolo, how did you get diagnosed and how did you treat your tonsils pain and sinusitis whenever they happen?
I have to wear a nose mask everyday since even before COVID and it is killing my social life.
Your response is highly appreciated, thank you.

Hello Ewolo, thanks for always updating us.
My question goes like this, you said your intention was not stay back just explore and go back. I learnt you were not supposed to stay beyond the time given in your visa so it won't affect your travel history with the country and even other countries. Can you please expatiate on this.
    Thanks

Hello. Simply plan your trip. Take the vaccines and meds you need. Do a short visit. Its good to come back and see how 9ja has gone thus far (spoiler alert, its worse than 2016). You are definitely NOT missing anything. But hey a short trip is in order. Anyways safe travels.

You've got many critical reasons why you shouldn't go home. However, put it this way; you've spent your entire life in Nigeria, maybe rough however you survived. Also, You've traveled alot and you're still here strong. 14days visit will not k*** you. You may be stronger than you think.
One major major turn off for me to go home from the UK is security. However, I can always plan carefully and visit home once in a while even though I'm still a student here. I can't imagine not going home at all it'd be a torture mentally, and that's another health reason you still have to go home.
Going home in this sense doesn't have to be absolute relocation, but to visit time and again, get accustomed to the system, who knows your body may have built enough resistance and you'll just be fine. With regular visits you can now understand your body and decide if you can stay home long term, but I mean, you have to give it a try and visit your home, it's your home 🏡
I do encourage you to visit home, villages, family, friends, catch up with life. At least that's where we come from. However, make solid plans for your health, security and all. You'll just be fine ❤

Lovely video, for your asthma if its not genetics you should be able to get permanent cure ther ein naija, and the quality of air as you stated really matter, where current stay I'm also dealing with cough and nose blockage and post nasal drip. Wishing you a safe journey to naija if you finally decided to visit, please greet everyone for me 😂😂😂

Wolo, going to Naija is not do or die. If you can afford to take your mother back & forth you have do very well. As you grow older your health becomes priority.

It's not a must to visit Nigeria. But I live in Nigeria and I haven't treated malaria or typhoid since January of 2021. Maybe my area is so clean and my health has been taken good care of. Well, the condition isn't the way you are painting it. Enjoy!😂😂

If you stay in Port Harcourt, I advise you don’t come o, or stop in another city because the quality of air in PH will definitely trigger asthma.
