How to Make Piper Cherokee RC plane (DIY)

Piper Cherokee is a private and trainer plane. Made by Piper Aircraft. first flight in 1960. It still in production until now with variants Arrow, Archer and Warrior. This plane is very stable and easy for handling. I made an RC plane of it in semi scale model. I made its wing longer than the real one. The front wheel it's not steerable but don't worry you can still steer it on the ground with rudder.

Glad I found your channel searching for a piper cherokee build. Your models are very good looking and you make them look easy to build. Im almost complete with my own build based on your plans but using 4mm dollar tree foam board. Bending this kind of foamboard is easier by just removing the paper backing on the inner face and you dont need to heat it but it bends easily. Just waiting for white packing tape to finish this plane. Thanks Julius!

Such a pretty plane. Thank you for sharing the plan and for making the tutorial. Suggestion from my experience: Put the window shield after installing the servos, then you have easier access to make the necessary holes in F4 and F5.

Киль и стабилизатор нуждаются в усилении карбоновой вставкой. Фюзеляж в районе люка нуждаются в усилении липовой (бальзовой) наклейкой. Иначе хлипко все получается. Буквально играет под руками. Перегрев двигателя (нужны отверстия для охлаждения двигателя и регулятора.) Я бы не рекомендовал летать при ветре более 6м/сек. И вообще лучше использовать гироскоп типа Gyro A3 V2. С ним модель преображается.

hi Julius. you are doing a great job man. I am about to start this plane following the plans you have given. At the same time, since i am new in this hobby. i request you to please guide on how to connect and configure 04 servos for the control plains besides you have not given the best point of CG on any of the plans. the straight winged air planes can be balanced in between 25% to 33% of the distance from the wingtip but for delta winged air planes like F-4 phantom you have made, SU-30, F-15, F-16 and so many others. we feel a lot of difficulties in finding the CG. please guide and help in this regard. thnx and many respects.

Last question, I've seen you use multiple covering methodes. Packing tape, covering film and wax paper. Can I use any of the last two on this model? And wich one is longest lasting?

@@thijsdeinum9787 if the plane primarily color is white, I will go with white packing tapes, if it has other color than white I will choose laminating film. I don't use wax paper anymore because beside the todays product are low quality since the pandemic, the paper teared easily when wet, also it's hard to clean when dirty.
