I'm a browns fan. I would literally cry my eyes out. I think he's the last player on the browns current roster who played with Joe Thomas before he retired
I just started watching ugf for the first time and I’m loving it, I can’t wait to get to the other series and I hope you make more just like it! Keep up the great work man.
The crazy thing is because of how “balanced” this game is, if you purchase certain abilities from your personnel tree, during the draft you can trade up multiple picks without needing to add anything. For example if you have say the 10th pick, you can trade that straight up for the 9th/8th maybe even 7th pick without adding a player or another pick
I guess Madden's genius logic is that a GM could be like "Ok, so check this out. What if you just let me have your pick? We all know decision-making is really hard. So if you give me your pick, maybe I'll take someone that's on your board, and then boom! That's one less decision you have to make." And then somehow the other GM agrees that that makes sense.
I’m actually most surprised that Taylor Moton got an accurate rating for once. For some reason despite him being a reliable starter at worst and just below pro bowl level at his peak Madden always has him in the 70s
Moton is rated 6th best RT by Madden. That’s “fringe perennial pro bowl” significantly higher than “reliable starter” imo. I’d say that range is more of the 13-20 ranking. Which would be 79-75.
The funniest part about this is madden is so broken that once you had the 6th pick, you could have just traded one pick up each time and it probably would have worked.
It's actually more broken than that. 5th Rd and lower you can trade pick for pick up 3+ slots at a time. Then lower rounds you just trade #64 for 63 and 63 for 62 and so on
@@chrisshergie1030lol fr you can’t just trade like that you will have too at least give up a player or another pick if you wanna trade up theese guys probably put force trades on and turn the salary cap off and are like this football sim is broken
btw you can literally trade one pick for another pick if it is only a few lower than the other for example you can trade the thrid pick for the first and they will except it every time with nothing added to the trade
Fun Fact: If you go into the staff and go to play personnel, you can upgrade the left side to make it so you can trade the 20th pick for like the 18th pick straight up. It’s really over powered.
I didn't get THAT far, but I once did a franchise where I re-drafted the whole league, then traded a bunch of the high-end players away. Ended up with 6 or 7 first round picks, won 4 SBs in a row, then promptly went bankrupt 😂
I did a Washington Football team rebuild/relocation like that. From the get go traded pretty much any player of value to gut my team, tanked the season and ended up having nearly half first round picks.
REBUILD A CITY, in the same season/year win a championship with all 4 teams from the city on their respective video games. (Winning all the Championships with the Detroit teams in the same season would be a challenge).
you've been watching too much Spiffing Brit NTE, and Madden is more than a perfectly balanced game with no exploits it's an EA masterpiece that drains us of every cent
you know what's crazy if you max out the trading part of the team personnel in the staff points area you can trade one to two picks higher than your current pick ie. trade 2nd overall for first straight up and they will accept
If you move down the trade skill tree to get the first 3 skills, you can flip any first round pick for another first rounder 2 picks higher. It’s literally a 1st for a 1st to let you move 2 spots up the draft board.
Football Manager actually had a great solution to this (Football as in not american football) Players can just... refuse to be traded. Like in real life. Imagine having to move houses several times in one day? that's a really tough ask. Sure the player hating you makes it easier for him to leave, but at the cost of losing your locker room. Can't use a stacked team if they absolutely hate your guts
If you have the Trading/Draft staff point tree fully maxed out you can trade a pick for the pick right above that one straight up. It would've taken a while but you could've traded pick 224 for 223, 223 for 222, and so on until you got to pick number 1. Or just do what you did and once you got a first round pick go from 32 to 31, 31 to 30, etc.
The madden trading algorithm LOVES younger players, so that’s why you got significant offers from jameis Winston and Taylor Moton, and no so many good trades from veterans like Matt Ryan
By trading a maximum of 3 current players and any pick from this year and the next, try to acquire the entire first round worth of picks. You can use any platers acquired from trades, but can only use up to 3 players currently on the roster.
I haven't played Madden since 2012 version but I used to trade all my picks right before the trade deadline for whoever had the worst record at the time. So would go undefeated and still get the first pick of every round. Also would sign good players to one year deals, then ship them off for top picks. Forget who it was, but he was a 99 or close player. Would sign him every year for 1 year, then send him off for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Not sure how the scouting combine works in newer games, but 12 let you see all the stats for a certain amount of players, plus their growth grade. I'd do it for the allotted players, write it down, reset and do the next batch. So could tell how good every player coming out would be. After a couple years my 3rd string players were 90+ overalls.
What I used to do in madden was always take my picks and trade them to whoever cause I know I’d be first which meant I’d have last place. So I looked for who could be the worst team of the year and trade all 7 picks to them. Then when the season ended I’d package my picks and get high first rounders almost every year. I’d also always have 2 first rounders and turn that into extra picks so every year I had the max allowed picks per team lol. I’d never let my cap get out of control. I’d trade my best players and reboot the team with a cheaper rookie qb and other star players. Like I was doing what the league is starting to realize about using rookie QBs over a decade ago on madden 12
The best exploit for high draft picks is signing players cut by other teams in training camp and then flipping those guys for picks. Sometimes guys in the high 80's will get cut.
I was messing around with trades one time and found out you can actually trade up one pick at no cost. I think your coach has to have a trade negotiator unlocked in his skill tree. It doesn’t work for top ten picks, but it’s still a horrible that it exists. I moved from 32 to 18 trading one pick at a time.
Not surprised at all. In madden 2022, just to mess with my friend(him and I had a league just us 2) I got every single first round pick minus the ones he had. Just pick people up in free agency and the computers are dumb enough to accept the trade usually for 3rd or 4th picks AND they sometimes cut good players xD which was the best part.
I had to pause the video just to say as a Saints fan I would not be surprised if we traded Winston for a 5th-round pick. This entire franchise is stuck in a perpetual cycle of doing something genius just to follow up with something shockingly incompetent.
Fun fact if you get the ability that makes your draft picks more valuable and the CPUs less valuable you can move up 1 spot at a time until you have #1

Trade the lowest overall qb up to Patrick mahomes
Trade the youngest player up to the oldest
See if u can go 0-11 with Alabama
Make an NFL team out of washed up players in their last season and win the Super Bowl
Win a super bowl with the GOAT quarterback... Trace McSorley.
Just shook up the entire league for the 1st overall 😂
I'm really curious what the rosters looked like after all this.
Yeah, I was hoping for simulated season after all that. But I’m sure the top teams would’ve still been there
I want NTE to do a video simulating reporters’ reactions to all of this.
Poor Matt Stafford keeps buying and selling houses during all of this 😂
And drafted Justin Fields
Josh Balls is an all-time great QB name
Great name, but I was half-expecting "Taylor Harrogate" or "Tee Yorkshire."
