Pro tip: you have to let the power bar go all the way up and then use it when your “star” player (I think it’s your pitcher, it’s the guy with the star by his name) is up to bat, then you basically get an automatic home run
I was gonna bring that up! Also if a ball has a yellow trail when it's hit, it probably won't be a home run. Only when it's blue does it have a chance.
I have the 2009 version of this game and it is probably my favorite thing to play on the Wii. I would play that game for hours trying to win the title. I would also love to see a series for this game
One of my favorite games of all time, what an instant classic!! Also..we going to ignore the fact that Dreski hit the home run @ 10:59 and the ball hit the kid in the head XD
Maaaan i used to play this so much as a kid. Quick tip: With your created character get 3 bars on the meter and tap the activation a few times as pitcher or batter. Magic Happens. Can't wait for your reaction!
Would love to see a mini series with these little-known sports games from the early 2000s through the 2010s. It was such a golden era for that genre, and there are so many hidden gems out there
Drew have you ever played Super Mega Baseball 3? The whole series is absolutely fantastic, and 3 is probably one of the best baseball games ever made. Gameplay is stupid fun, you can knock the pitcher out on a comebacker, and all the character names are baseball related puns. You should definitely try it!
I loved playing the 09 one on my Wii, brings back so many memories. Btw power ups aren’t just for hitting. You can use them for pitching to throw faster and when fielding, you can use it after they hit to try and rob a line drive or HR, or you can use it after getting the ball in the outfield and throw out a runner from the outfield so easily. Also as someone already mentioned a full power up bar used by your star player is either a guaranteed HR when batting or throwing like 90 mph pitching
Just taking me back to summers with my cousins at grandma's. Just taking turns passing the controller in order and going through this exceedingly long Tournament mode.
The game that got me into sports on the d fuckin s. Got it on the wii after hating on the nostalgia trick that was the modern adaptation. This game will live in my heart permanently.
ooh I can't even remember the last time I had a South West Eggroll. And for those wondering, it's a mix of shredded grilled chicken, black beans, corn, and pico de gallo wrapped in an eggroll wrapper and deep fried. Usually served cut on the diagonal with a side of salsa or ranch dressing. Very 2000's fast casual appetizer type thing.
Not gonna lie if The Show added the little league World Series to RTTS and your performance in that impacted where you got drafted as opposed to you just choosing a team it would be a welcome change
I remember playing one of these games as a kid and loving them. And honestly, it seems like a nice arcade style sports game. Easy to pick up, fun to play and got some quirkiness which is endearing.
I remember when this game first came out. I had gone to the LLWS with my dad and saw a place for people to play the demo for fun. Ended up winning a copy from a home run derby competition they held lol
My favorite Gen7 baseball game. Feels like a throwback of sorts to simpler baseball games on earlier consoles, and the presentation is sharp (minus the mascot, of course). Hope to see a Part 2!
if you ever play this again when your power up bar is full you can use your star player (adam lee) power up when they are pitching or at the plate. if they hit with the power up they hit an absolute nuke no matter the timing. if they use it on the mound they pretty much auto strikeout the batter
Tip for you: If you use the power up as your star player when the power up bar is completely full, while hitting if you make contact it’s an automatic home run
yo check out the controls and stuff that'll help with the gamebreaker shit. also when it pops up with the normal velo and then the pro velo, the pro velo just makes a simple conversion describing what velocity it would take at 60 feet to cause the same reaction time as the pitch at 45 feet
You can use your game breaker to throw runners out and if it full and you use it on your star players at bat it's an automatic home run just so long as you make contact
My little league went to LLWS, 1984 Altamonte Springs FL, fun fact: not only were they US Champs but future hall of famer and WS champion Jason Varitek was on the team! ( no I wasn't on team tho) sadge
If you use the Star Player of the Team while batting and have the full bar of Power its an Automatic Home Run. Also I loved playing this game! My videos on my channel from years ago(poor quality) has like 20K views
That announcer souns really, really familiar, and I can't remember from where.... But the game looks genuinely fun. Also hey, remember, it's only sailing or kayaking until you fall in the water. Then, it's just swimming...
@@zennyspent I thought that was Gary for one of them, but somehow completely missed on Musberger given I only remmeber him more or being the studio host for the Indy 500 once in 2005 and nothing else, somehow forgot that he does CFB, oops... I recognize Gary instantly, was all oh hey, it's the guy from the baseball/hockey games, but Brent threw me for a major loop
@@zennyspent Huh, I did not expect Gary to show up in this, at all. Pleasantly shocked, and double so now I know that's the guy I only remember more or ESPN/ABC throwing into the Indy 500 coverage because, reasons the year Danica was absolutely everywhere. Dear gods, Brent and Todd Harris should never be ever put on the same broadcast, ever. That's a crime against decency. yes, that happened in 2005. It was as bad as you think...
Listen. I'm not a baseball enjoyer. But this episode was a ton of fun. Probably one of the better baseball games I've seen. I'm totally down for a full series of this
I remember hopping on the Xbox 360 with my brother and we would customize a hole team for and hour, and play a hole tournament in one night. Good times

Make this a series please. I love watching you play baseball games, and this one is just built for a YT series with its bracket play.
I'm from the future. You get your wish (I just got around to this late, life got in the way)
@@dovahnok0957 NO WAY. How did you invent time travel?
I use to play this game all the time when I was younger, glad it still holds up!
even more than holds up, it’s better than the game they just released this year
I have the 2009 version of this game and it is probably my favorite thing to play on the Wii. I would play that game for hours trying to win the title. I would also love to see a series for this game
Same, I got it on my Wii and the 08+09 double play on my DSi.
Been watching your channel since the UGF Pands, Drew. Glad to see how much fun you're having playing all these different games for us to enjoy.
I wonder if Drew has ever played MLB Power Pros 2008. Legendary baseball game in my opinion
This was so much fun! Can this be your next full series, please?
Keep this game up because these games always seem to hold up and nostalgic
Would love to see more of this game, please make it a series!
Oh please pretty please do a full play through.
My god this was incredible and I had a blast
I need this to be a series
One of my favorite games of all time, what an instant classic!! Also..we going to ignore the fact that Dreski hit the home run @ 10:59 and the ball hit the kid in the head XD
Glad you are playing this fellow Drewski, this game is legit a underrated gem and I've had so many memories!

The swings in this game look better than any other game I’ve seen. Great hip rotation
"I guess we're playing in Japan!"
5 seconds later:
"Give me a nuke!"
💀

Drew on the little league team like that one guy on the Benchwarmers.
"I am 12"
I used to grind this game, the series was so fun
No one is talking about Tommy’s dad not taking him to Olive Garden because he didn’t get a hit :(
Def wanna see another episode. I love watching these
This was amazing! I love arcade style sports games. Also, the clean ping of an aluminum bat is so nice. Please do a Part 2!
The sound effects are awesome. Especially the sound off the bat. Seems like a fun game!
Another baseball game you should try is MLB Power Pros for the Wii. That game was GOATED
You need to keep this going, man.
I'd love to see a second part to this! This looks like a well made and fun game! Keep it up Drew!
Please continue this series!!! This was so entertaining
Love seeing you enjoy yourself I hope you do make more parts this was amazing to watch
I like how every hit is either a complete dribbler to the infield or an absolute bomb to the outfield.
I remember playing one of these games as a kid and loving them. And honestly, it seems like a nice arcade style sports game. Easy to pick up, fun to play and got some quirkiness which is endearing.
"Under the age of 12" with the same honesty as "politicians care about all their constituents"
More of this! More of this! More of this!
Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
I love pretty much anything baseball, so keep these coming!

Part 2 is great to hear Drew, so happy.
Glory days was from the NES version of this game. I loved that game. "That is what you get when you try to bunt, loser!" classic
I was addicted to this game! Always found a way to play Japan for title games lol. Thanks for the nostalgia!
I can still remember loading up the game on the Wii and every time it'd go "Little League World Series Baseball 2009!" The freaking memories
"Carmelo might hit a nuke here or two", well that wouldn't be anything new for Japan.
I still play this with my little brother every once in a while very fun brings back memories of being a kid :)

PLEASE make this a whole series I would watch literally 500 episodes of this
Sounds like you're having fun! would watch another one of this game

That's wild they got Brent Musberger to do commentary. I don't ever remember him doing baseball.
In fairness, I don't think Brent ever met a paycheck he wouldn't cash.
Pretty sure it’s Gary Thorne.
@@willflint5014 it's both.
Me, an Orioles fan: Huh. Do all baseball announcers sound the same?
Me, after googling: Oh that's just the same announcer I hear every night.

I've always loved the random games you play!

I lost it at Southwestern Eggroll Carmelo LOL. Drewski you’re the best

Brent Mustberger. More known for college football, especially when he's drooling over a player's GF on national television.
Quick addendum- the other announcer is Gary Thorne. Did baseball and hockey for espn for several years, was the Orioles announcer for a bit.

Hey Drew,
I think FIFA World Cup 2010 video game could be a cool game to play for a video.
Holy crap I remember playing this game on my DS YEARS ago. Talk about a throwback.
It's interesting how different this version of the game is tho
I love the DiMarini & Easton sponsors in the outfield
Def wanna see more of it dude!
I have the 08 version on the WII and besides Super Sluggers this was one of my favorite games to play
Love this! Make this game a mini series!
LLWS 2008 2009 was my childhood. Lowkey kinda wanna buy this game and hook up my old wii and play it again. This game was goated
Give us more of this please I really enjoy it
Would love another episode of this

That is Gary Thorne on commentary, right?
I believe so
And Hamburger (Brent Musburger) too.
