Good tutorial! always nice to see a start to finish on suspension, I know it's a pain in the ass! I'm doing the same swap on my Sami as well, front's done, rear almost done (today) I used Dr. Z Fab. ultimate YJ kit, Trail gear high steer, Sami axles, VW turbo diesel, Yota frt drive shaft in the rear. Keep up the great video's!
I used DR.Z too love his stuff great quality and I also have a turbo diesel swap in mine I have a VW 1.6td tuned and the yj swap too love it...I have a few sammy's and trackers had a few sj410's too lol...
That jack adapter is interesting me/ many can relate Once owed a black 86 samurai hard top - that little rig would whip around and was really reliable on the tightest fire roads and small creek beds. The aftermarket was in its infancy For some reason I always remember that manufact. high side custom rubber mud floor mats that could hold seemingly several gallons worth of melting snow Bonus / 4 people in the 86 traveling between Md and NYC on I-95 🆘
Thanks man! I love your channel and your rig. I have a bunch coming up soon on this little zuk. Toyota steering box, tc pump, pac hydro assist, custom shock mounts, transfer case mounts with skid plate, custom bumper. All to take it to Moab in April and hammer on it. Would love to meet up and wheel one day. Thanks for watching!
@@LowerWeldingShop cool, that sounds like good content. Maybe I can steal some of your ideas! I just did Moab a few months ago, but maybe you can make a trip out to the Rubicon. Zukicon is every summer 🤘🏻
If you don't want drive line vibration, you NEED to have your tcase and axle flanges TOTALLY PARALLEL to eachother. You can't just aim the differential flange at the Tcase and call it good. Of course your drive shaft knuckles need to be clocked the same also. Been there done that. So frustrating until you study drive shaft geometry. Then it makes total sense.
I think it's cool you're building a little Zuk, they're a great off roader when they're built. I had one years ago in the military, I just never had the opportunity to build it, so I'm digging this 🤘😎 And Great heads up on the way you set up the degrees for the axle, GREAT content 😆👍
You should stretch the rear or get a land cruiser rear axle with the offset third member because the samurai transfer case is offset. There will be a lot of vibration with normal axle
The Yj spring for a Samurai still not going to help if you are using the same driveline. I would mount spring on samurai original mount and fabricate the driveline this will extend wheelbase for flex and articulation. Why not do what I did using Isuzu Rodeo rear spring for both front and rear of the Samurai it’s longer and softer ride than the YJ
Nobody said anything about stock drivelines, I ordered custom length shaft from Tom woods. That will be in a future video along with custom crossmember fabricated to clearance the front driveshafts. Thanks for watching.

Awesome, thanks for watching and good luck on your build. Sounds like it’s going to be awesome!

Man your flying through this setup, looks killer.👍🏼
Thanks man! Had some days open so had to take advantage. Thanks for watching.

Excellent! Same decals as my Samurai. Got so close to going Toyotas on mine, but didn't work out. Looking forward to some trail vids!

@@FortuneOffRoad I would love to make zukicon, let’s keep in touch and I will try to make it happen!

I have always wanted to build one so I’m excited to get it built and see what it is capable of! Thanks for watching the build, more to come!
Looking great!
Thanks!
I just subbed, I look forward to the build 🤘😎

That would be the long term goal with a Diamond in the rear and 3 link. I have no vibration.
Hey dude this thing look sick.
Both builds are.
That being said, pump out some more content.
Coming soon! Thanks for watching!
Sweet!! 🤙🏽
🤙
Are the front and rear springs the same size?
Winch and bumper will probably level the sami out
Дорогой друг с какого автомобиля ты поставил эти рессоры
For my samurai what can Toyota axle in what year should I use for my 88 Samurai
Any 1985 or earlier front and rear will work.
Cant see how the bump stop are mounted and which ones you used
The shocks I used have built it bump stops.
What axles do you use?
All Toyota based. Front is a Diamond axle and the rear if a IFS Toyota.
What kit is this?
Sky Offroad
