Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo

A walk around the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo in which I will be your tour guide and highlight the most historic locations in town. Along this journey we will see Spanish architecture that goes all the way back to the sixteenth century, as well as monuments to those responsible for the establishment of this settlement such as Bartholomew and Christopher Columbus. We will also learn about Juan Pablo Duarte, who is considered to be the Founding Father of the Dominican Republic. We will explore the ruins of the Monastery de San Francisco, Museo de las Casas Reales, and even fit in some shopping at Mercado Modelo after strolling Calle de Conde.

If you noticed a bit of a limp, it is because I endured a slight sprained ankle along this adventure. Nothing serious, as I was still able to hobble about and walk it off exploring most of the historic locations I was in search of 😆.
