As a nonpresenting transfeminine priest who has been moved by my own experience to do everything in my power to maximize the hospitality we extend to LBGTQ+ people, I sometimes have a hard time articulating why I am still Side B besides raw obedience to my Bishop and accountability to the Church. This conversation is a good reminder of the beautiful, robust, and prophetic possibilities that come from the difficult work of telling the truth about our experiences as queer people in a way that seeks to uphold and honor the teaching of the Church.
