God i remember when i was at school and in the early 90s we used to sit outside the video shop and watch all the scraps outside the fleece

@@barryknighthodkinson i think so ive drove past and it was last time i noticed its ot a shame leigh was full off pubs most of them are closed or knocked down ,i even vaugley remember on on westleigh lane i think it was the oddfellows arms i remember going past as a child seeing my auntie in there

@@herrickmaster77 Oddfellows Arms I remember but that seems like a Million Years ago. I seem to remember the Locals called it Snuffies. Shame about the Red Lion. I always call in there when I come back for a visit. Mind you it's 12 years since the last visit

The photo of the Railway pub on Brown Street (1 minute, 18 seconds), also shows Millers estate agent. The Railway pub wasn't actually situated there. It was round the corner

The Railway pub was on East Bond St., not Brown St (North or South). Great film collage, though. Thank you.

I was coming out of the red lion pub and trod in some dog muck, mind you it could be worse, I could have been coming out of the red dog and trod in some lion muck. thanks to the rochdale cowboy for that one.

Hi Ian,
Well these pubs have been there for many years ,in fact a lot of them are now closed down and have been for a while. I no longer live in Leigh and haven't done so for 30 years but the last I visit I made I did have a drink in one or two.
Can't understand you don't remember any of them unless your thinking of another town called Leigh.

I made it with all the photos i coiuld find.I'm pretty sure there are many more I missed but which one are you refering to ?
