Sorry about the QC issues. Since it’s a retail release, I would take my chances and purchase another one. If the new one has a tighter ab crunch, return the loose one.
Great review and dang…Firefly arrived at my doorstep with the same loose waist. From the posts out there, seems it’s a pretty wide spread issue. Unfortunate really, his design is fantastic but the loose waist ruins it.
I don't believe we've had an issue quite this bad and widespread with Classified. I hope Hasbro will consider another production run. They certainly won't be replacing them, but I still want a good figure.
That first version is looking pretty good now huh? LOL! This is a "if opportunity arrives" kind of purchase for me. I like the first version better then this one, just going by the reviews.
Great review sorry for the QC issues. I’ve paid for mine but not received a shipping notice yet, hopefully that’s a one of and not an overall for Firefly.
Your fig is bout the 4 th one that is that losse that I seen in videos so far ,I got my fire fly coming in from bbts soon and if he is like the rest then its a big qc problem
@NeedlessThings I have been watching all the new one and some old videos, some from China and they are lose and new vids that people got from here and they are all so far very lose
I've got my blind spots and biases, but I try to be as fair as I can. As much as I hate to say it... as close as this one is to 1984, there's still plenty of room for a Retro release.
Thanks! I generally don't get rid of Joes, but I always thought CI Firefly was a good figure. Not the version I wanted if we were only getting one, but still good.
Eeek that waist. I may just just add some hot glue or other glue and lock it down. Maybe use the belt to obscure it as well. One of my favorite characters too.
I can't honestly say I feel like it's ruined because I can still put it on the shelf, but it's the worst production issue I've seen in the line. I don't think any company really does replacements (as in corrected production runs for free), but if they did this would be one.
The vintage figure's face always looked to me like he was sleepy.
Wow, that qc is unforgivable. I'll be getting mine in the next few days and I'll be checking it out. Hope it's not a wide spread issue.
I'm hoping it's just a small portion of the production run. I'm going to try another.
I think it is widespread. The majority seem to be like this.
It’s really bad. I should’ve canceled mine
I cancelled mine for the exact same reason
My backpack has a molded “bump” as a peg, so it cant go on his back, be careful. I love the loose torso.

I'm definitely going to try another one. Firefly is one character I can't let slide.
Man, I thought we were getting past all of these QC issues... Thanks for the great review as always!
Same. This was a huge surprise.
We are not past it.
That green pouch on his side is to hold his g.i.joe figures 😁
Ha! Yes.
…I see what you mean about the torso flop now. Wow.
His new portrait is very J. Scott Campbell or John Royle-esc.
It reminds me of Diabolik.

@@NeedlessThings agreed. Firefly is important to a lot of us collectors. We just want a good one, come on Hasbro…

The CI release is absolutely a higher quality figure. Just not my preferred version of Firefly.
Not that Mr. Floppy here gets the job done, either. 🙄
My figure's torso joint is good but I do have that issue where the torso sits high in the waist area.
That's really the bigger issue. You can work around a floppy joint, but that waist is visually awful.
My Firefly is the same. Super loose. Of course the elbows and knees are stiff as fuck
UUUUGGGGH
Great review sorry for the QC issues. I’ve paid for mine but not received a shipping notice yet, hopefully that’s a one of and not an overall for Firefly.
Yep. Hoping big time that it's just a few that are like this.

I'm hoping there are some good ones because otherwise I love the figure.

What did they do to our boy! Good video, fair and honest. 🤘🏻

If you bought CI Firefly, better hang on to him...lookin pretty good right about now. Subbed 4 the honest review. I wont be buying Classified Firefly.

@@NeedlessThings Hey, I'd like classic FF but not like this.
Eeek that waist. I may just just add some hot glue or other glue and lock it down. Maybe use the belt to obscure it as well. One of my favorite characters too.
I haven't had time to work on it yet, but I'm definitely going to try to tighten this guy up. It's not like I can make it worse. 😂
I think Hasbro ruined a awesome fig

@NeedlessThings right ,and it's way way to bad because it's one of the coolest figs
