    What would you reccomend in place of tap splice terminals in areas of the back of the trailer that will be submerged in water?

    Any Ideas how the fixture internal wiring is connected? Thanks,

      Difficult to describe without visual aids, but I have a busted led tail light I'll be replacing sometime this week. I'll take the busted one apart and make a video showing how to check it.

    If the lights use ground do you attach it to the trailer or the light mounting bolt itself?

    • @TheWeekendAngler
      @TheWeekendAngler  9 месяцев назад +1

      If the lights use a ground wire, which most LED lights do, it needs to ground to the same location as the white grounding wire at the front of the trailer.
      Most times, this is the trailer frame itself, and as long as the light mounting bolts are going through something metal attached to the trailer, the light mounting stud is a good choice.

    i missed how you connected the wiring to the vehicle? i have a trailer plug-in on my truck 2015 f 150 and i get how to wire up to the point where it all connects into my trucks ' electrical system

    • @TheWeekendAngler
      @TheWeekendAngler  Год назад

      The kits usually come with a pre-wired 4 pin flat connector. This one did. All you have to do is leave enough at the front of the trailer to reach the tow vehicle.
      If you have the factory 7 way connector on your truck, your easiest option is to purchase and use a 7 way to 4 flat adapter.

    Have you ever had a light go out? Running lights Work on both sides, but the brake light and blinker on driver side is not working, busy sound like a replacement light is needed or do you think it’s a wiring problem?. Just bought this John boat and trailer. He said everything was working, but may be a light went out and he Didn’t know it, what do you think??

    • @TheWeekendAngler
      @TheWeekendAngler  Год назад +1

      If everything is wired to code, big brown wire is the running lights wire. The other wire on the driver side I can't remember if that is green or purple off the top of my head right now, controls brake lights and turn signals. Check and see if you have 12 volts going to that wire whenever you have the turn signal on if you do you have a bad light. If you don't you have a break-in that wire

    • @TheWeekendAngler

      Yeah, those are pretty much worthless and serve only to let water into your wiring.
