  • VIK RTZ's interest in music was awakened as a teenager by watching DJs who gradually explained to him what each and every piece of equipment that made up a live set was used for. That's when he met the man who would become his mentor and veteran DJ of Puerto Rican discos and nightclubs, Pedro Zambrana.
In the "intermezzos", Zambrana asked him to cover him and that's exactly the moment when the legend that precedes us today was born, DJ VIK RTZ.
We're talking about the late 80's when you had to have the financial resources, the contacts and the information to be able to buy LPs, not to mention the turntables that cost a fortune. Thus began a collection of disco music, dark European hits, techno and house that paved the way for him to found, together with his life and battle partner "The beautiful and exquisite Carla Fanny Lane", the disco that gave base and foundation to the electronic music scene on the island, ASYLUM on Ponce de Leon Avenue, today club 787.
The years passed and large multitudinous events of a scene that was able to host more than thirty thousand people in the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, until a hiatus when his wonderful children came into his life and a stable job in the field of health professionals.
Away from nightlife and shows, he never ceased in his interest to continue exploring new musical avenues. But that energy and magic would explode again in his system and a few months ago we have the great luck and fortune of having among us at Radio Underground Puerto Rico by the hand of the production house QVLQV, powerful and renewed, in the scene that he knew how to found together with legends like Gulembo, Red, Iván Robles, Kaoba, Santos and many others, this magnate who makes us enjoy his maximum talents, the human and the musical, with you ladies and gentlemen Sir DJ VIK with capital letters for the generation that adores him and the new ones so that they learn from the pillars that support this beautiful and plural musical cultural movement.
