    Personal experience, Argentina is in fact with regards to other countries "easy" to obtain citizenship, HOWEVER is very bureaucratic to obtain the residency. It took me nearly 4 years to get all the paperwork and they where very disorganized however they where willing to help and much more friendlier than other immigration agents.

    • @martinortiz575
      @martinortiz575 7 лет назад +1

      MB you were the only one that tells something rational. It is supposed that Argentina gives the citizenship after 2 years. But its not like that. Boreaucracy makes things difficult and often inmigrants must wait for the citizenship for 4 or 5 years.

    I applied for Argentina citizenship. I've been living in the country since 2002 and have legal residency. It's pretty easy, though make sure that you have absolutely everything they ask for (have someone in your home country willing to get documents for you that they didn't ask you for). If your papers are in a language other than Spanish they must be translated and legalized in Argentina (they won't accept anything translated from your home country) and make sure you have an apostille on everything! But in comparison to other countries, yes, it's easy to become a resident and easy to become a citizen. One thing the video didn't mention, however, is that you can't have dual citizenship here.

    The criteria for citizenship in Ireland is more or less the same as many other EU/European countries. You get it through either ancestry, living and working there for a specified period of time, marriage or amnesty. Pretty simple.

    • @DrThomas18
      @DrThomas18 7 лет назад +1

      The ancestry part makes it different from the rest. My country doesn't allow dual citizenship (only for certain immigrants😬), so if I take i.e. US citizenship I lose mine and will have the same status as any other foreigner in the country of my own blood and soil.

    Lots of people are interested in the idea of dual citizenship but then once you have it you start to wonder what benefits you are getting for all your trouble. I became a citizen of Panama 4 years ago so I use my Panamanian passport to travel most anywhere I wish in Latin America. However I could just as esily travel on my American passport. I do, live in Panama so I guess it is good to be a citizen. I am presently in the Dominican Republic with my wife who is Dominican. I guess I could go for a third citizenship but what good would it do me, The Dominican Passport is terrible. My wife needs a visa to travel almost anywhere. I suppose she really needs a second citizenship.

      @freekingfreaking246 2 года назад

      Secondary citizenships are cool, that’s why we like collecting them. But I do wanna make a point that your personal experience does not reflect most peoples experience with dual citizenships. Usually, it’s very advantageous. Getting an European or South American citizenship gives you full access to several countries, no passport required. Other citizenships give you other benefits. The fact you have an American citizen (which is valuable) and got a panama citizenship (which is insignificant) doesn’t mean all dual citizenship cases will be the same. Most of the time the second citizenship will be much more valuable than the first, usually

    sorry ppl but the easiest country in the world to get into is England. all you have to do is get here and claim persecution if you get sent back to your country of origin. a claim for asylum takes on average 5 years to process, after that if your claim fails, you can challenge that claim in the british courts. this will take again an average of 5 years. all this will be paid for buy the british government and you will be fully supported while you live here, after that it will cost too much for the government to send you home (both in money, time and argueing with your home country) so you will get to stay and be granted full british citizenship.
