Biking the Old Pali Road

Biking the Old Pali Road on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Patrick and I rode up to the lookout from Kailua and then down 1175 feet to sea level in about 10 minutes. The rided concludes with a fun roll down "Thirteen Turns" from Castle Junction to Maunawili. June 2013

I miss my dad. He took me to work with him during the summer and we went thru the Pali Road many times. Great memories. Thanks Dad.

I road up and down old Pali and new Pali road many times on a bike in the late 60's, now it is almost completely overgrown.

Yeah, I haven’t been on the trail probably since I shot this video. But I used to go up every once a month for about ten years before we moved out to the north shore.

He passed- entered via a road blocked sign - so is this legal to do?
I'm a Kailua grad & hiked up & down a few times - no road closed carrier then.

This ride was a long time ago, haven’t been back up since so I’m not sure what’s going. I must done the ride two dozen time prior to this ride.

Big rockslide right at Pali Lookout blocks the entrance ya'll took.

Thanks for the heads up. Need to check it out. Typical Hawaiian relatively young mountains, rocks slides are common.
