Funny thing, the gun you have upgraded to, i am upgrading from... The two hoses going in different directions gets old fast. Also, use gloves when welding. Even if you don't get the spatter on your hands, the UV will get you. Even thin cloth gloves are better than nothing.
Black diamond abrasive that you are using is coal slag; mostly Silicon Dioxide and some iron oxide. There is no aluminum oxide in that abrasive mixture.Aluminum oxide is different stuff. If all you blast is iron/steel, try a mixture of steel grit/bead. It produces much less dust and lasts forever. For non-ferrous stuff stainless steel bead/grit is needed, but it is very expansive.
You can and I did connect my two compressors (two 5hp is easier to power with common single phase US service panels or in my case a rotary phase converter since I scored used industrial three phase compressors) , receiver tank and sand blasters with 3/4" ID red hose and Chicago couplings. Much less supply restriction that way. When in doubt, copy industrial setups. Lurking Fecesbook Marketplace for deals and attending business liquidation auctions can net some capable gear.
Good 'effort' but still extremely dismal performance. I'm 'impressed' that 'you're' impressed with it... Need to consider several other adjustments, that would drive me crazy if my cabinet was that bad at performance. Hope you get that figured out!
Thank you for the video. I’m going to order the gun and metering valve; however, where did you find the nozzles and which one(s) did you purchase (and are happy with)?

For the window, add a 120 mesh or finer stainless steel mesh. It keeps abrasive away from the glass and you can see though it.
