The Q-Sound intros, besides the original Capcom intros from like Street Fighter 2 and games in that era, were the greatest sound bites ever. Like, even to this day hearing them just gives me a lingering sense of nostalgia that I might never get anywhere else.
I remember walking thru the arcades and hearing this randomly going off in different parts of the arcade. Gives me goosebumps hearing this. 90' was a great fucking time for arcades.
Those were the days. Can never catch that feeling ever again. Today's kids will never know the feelin of walking thru a good arcade with good games you couldn't get on your console (back then at least).
I'll explain this as best as I can, because I'm sort of understand these "spooky" thingy... The composition of these jingles are considered to be "spooky" in common use of BGMs. The combination of jazz chord progressions and the unresolved chords with a different bassline/arps (EX: Asus6 bass E or Asus6/E) are known to give a spooky atmosphere.. Dissonance as one of the limitation of the sound chips just adds to the overall atmosphere. For example popping noises when the instrument reached a loop point and decays, the reverb, or even the hardware generated chorus effect. ESPECIALLY THE ONES FROM VAMPIRE SAVIOR! ONE OF THE BEST INSTRUMENT DESIGN, BUT THAT QSOUND JINGLE IS LEGIT SCARY TO BE HEARD IN THE DARK! :'((((((( But I have to admit... in 1980~1990, for being able to produce a sound quite like this is totally an achievement for its time! My life as a music producer won't be the same if it's not because of retro game's sound design. (Let me know, if I've used a wrong use of grammar)

Whenever you heard this sound, that's how you know you're about to play a really great game from Capcom. It's such a shame the company doesn't make games like this anymore. Street Fighter Alpha, Alien vs Predator, Marvel Super Heroes, Pocket Fighter, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Children of the Atom, Cyberbots, Darkstalkers, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, Rival Schools, Street Fighter EX and so much more man. I remembered when I lived in New York there used to be this candy store downstairs in front of my apartment that had the X-Men vs street fighter cabinet and one of the cruis'n games. Me and the kids in the block used to spend hours just dumping quarters into that game. Hearing these jingles just takes me back so nostalgic.
This and the Neo Geo logo theme were the kings of the dimly lit arcade sound In the 90’s, hearing these going off somewhere in the arcade as soon as you walked through the doors!

The armored warriors or “ powerd gears “ q sound fits the marvel vs street fighter, marvel vs capcom , street fighter vs X-men series more then the others , it always had that dark hero battle vibe to me , makes u imagine wolverine standing in the rain while it’s thundering at night ready to face Ryu

The Marvel Vs. Capcom one sounds the best but I also love how that Capcom Sports Club one sounds completely flat besides the really cool sounding deep sub bass notes you can only feel if your listening on more powerful speakers.

Ragitsu Konami had the bigger library of game titles (X-Men, Simpsons, TMNT) but I think Capcom had the better music.

These are actually kinda unsettling. Even more so if you only listen though one ear with earbuds or headphones. Legit creepy, but I like them.
