Please don’t take this the wrong way but why don’t we see your face in the video? I felt like it was a round in “A Question of Sport” where we have to guess who it is? Is it really you doing the work?
You asked about continuing the videoing the answer is yes if it brings you pleasure There are many of us that enjoy watching and learning, you will come to find many of the youtube turners watch other youtube turners its quit a family and all are willing to share and help. I have found it very helpful and enjoyable...Each one of the many turners that I watch are good people that enjoy making a difference with something that they love doing but it's not easy but fulfilling
Dustin, That is one beautiful finished product! Clump of wood -- to worthy of collectable. I'm with most everyone else -- it doesn't have to be turning bowls only. (wait-a-minute) I confess, I do LUV seeing those bowls come to life! As long as You enjoy the process -- We would LUV to see You continue.
Nice to see you do different stuff Dustin, you,ve got some good skills there. lets see more of your craft skills while we are on lockdown, you cant beat the great outdoors though. Hopefully it wont be long before we are all out and about.
Dustin you have great talent, I could never grow tired of watching you create such beautiful art!!! (Notification for this was turned off because of kids)
Such a beautiful goblet, that wax certainly brought out the grain pattern and I love the color. Sharing this one around to be sure that you make more of these videos. ❤
That was fantastic Dustin. Needed to hear the theme from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly...I liked it: taking the chisels out instead of the revolvers. I use the same: apron, face shield, and respirator.
WOW !! Beautiful Finished Piece of Work. Great to Watch a True Craftsman Prepare for Work. All the Safety and Preparation Truly Shows Dedication to Your Craft. Do you Plan on Selling That Goblet ?? How Much ?? American Dollars $$. Please Make More Video's Like This During the Quarantine. Great to See.
I have the same lath and was told to put the seed to the slowest befor stoping. I got my lath this year. Great vid but what wood was it ? Goblet looked great.
I just bought a lathe about a week ago. So far I have made a roundish cylinder with millions of gouge chunks missing. Thinking of melting the lathe down...…..
Great job on the goblet. I would love to see you make some simple bowls/plates to use on your bushcraft adventures. They make food safe finishes, like butcher block oils, to seal the wood. 👍👍
Strangely enough, no notifications (as a subscriber) on your most recent "live" woodturning videos. (hum?mm). U have a worthy channel & interesting content to be shared. Quietly taking a seat at the back of the bus. Best of Luck to U.
That guy had strangely different looking hands to Dustin 🤔🤔That wasn't you, you little cheat haha you've been rumbled mate awesome work tho by your mate 💯 keep them coming pal 👍👍👍
I know almost nothing about lathes but can see the ring attachment at the beginning and then on the cup side you clamp it in the lathe rather than a ring socket. Which cleverly does away with screws. Stupid question but how do you know how big to turn the bit that gets clamped?
Hi Dustin, amazing video would love to see more! What lathe do you have? Ive been looking to get into turning for aa while now as it looks awesome! Cheers
I have been watching your videos for a long time..... I would like you to make something for me and my wife..... please let me know how I can get in touch with you..... thank you very much......JJ.....
Would a large wooden beer mug be called a Bierholtz? I know the word Tankard exists but any large beer mug regardless of material can be a tankard. Bierstein is specific, stone.
The goblet looks fantastic. Excellent work! Some honest but unsolicited feedback about the video? Too many little clips of you grabbing tools and such. One or two of those sprinkled in are a fine artistic touch. But too many just slow the video down without adding content. Also, nobody wants to hear your vacuum. Excellent turning, though, and a wonderful final product. Love the dimensions on the goblet, too. Work of art, that.
This video would have been 9 minutes if we hadn't had to watch the on switch flipped so many times. Watched in on 2x speed, and it was still too long. Cool goblet, though.
If this video gets 1000 Likes, I might just do another!
I posted a list of fun projects. In particular I would like to see you make a fire starting piston out of wood... leather gasket perhaps?

Awesome such beautiful wood turning choreography to bring out a spectacular goblet from a crusty old lump of wood! Cheers!
All this wood working seems like a relaxing and rewarding job. Very nice work! 👌🏼
Uses all these nice tools then whips out the bushcraft saw at the end! Love it!
and forgets to move the rest and dings the saw on it.... hence the cheapo saw I guess
Superb bit of turning!! Impressive. 👍👍

Beautiful piece. Also gloves and long sleeves are a good way to hurt yourself.

Great cup but u could have made a nicer base of the goblet
Il Sacro Graal .

Not a good idea to mount this piece on a faceplate.between centres is the way to go.
Hold nu op den er flot

Try concentrate on wood turning than how you get dressed the wrong way for wood turning ! Boring , lost me one minute in !!
Wow
