I have the exact "65" fastback color combo and wheels sitting in my garage. I bought it off the original owner in 1980 for $2000.00 and it was in excellent condition. One thing I did was to drop a 4 speed toploader in and beefed up the 289 motor. It now has 48,000 original miles and turns heads every time I take it for a spin. I'm 72 years old and I still LOVE this car!!!!
Love the color combo! Nicely done car too! I have a '66 F100 Promotional Sales truck that color with Wimbledon White 2-tone. One of only around 10 known to exist. I have had quite a few collectible Ford's and Mercury's that color Poppy Red, Competition Orange, Calypso Coral multiple names were used depending on what it was on.
I couldn't help but notice the white Pontiac parked outside---nothing against the car you've presented here (I love Mustangs, I've owned two of them in my lifetime!), but will that Pontiac be coming up for sale sometime? Thanks! Beautiful car and a great video!

My mother owned one just like this in November 1964. It was # 335292. I'm actively looking for info on it, if it survived. Bought in Wayne, N.J.
Please give me this one , and the silver one, too!😁🔧☺️

nice
What a beauty. To my poor old tired eyes however, it looks orange. Is it similar to the Carousel Red on the Pontiac GTO Judge?
Yes, Poppy Red is basically the same thing as what Chevrolet called Hugger Orange.
Thank you for that. The judgement of some colors are just difficult to process sometimes.
Beautiful car but, as there aren’t any records from Ford, how do you know how many came with that interior? Not bagging on it, just honestly curious.
I have a coupe with the same color combinations and I can’t really find anything like it on RUclips
Door codes.
