Huge ND fan, have watched every game for decades, for the last 8 or 9 years I have heard this just about every year, maybe all these years they are moving the new high up, but eventually the results got to show that and translate to big bowl/playoff wins
@Tyler Wojciak Great cast and what a great guest interview you conducted! Yeah, I have often said, I was in that stadium for most of the home games of '93, and yeah, I was at that damned BC game near the goal line, the very next game there after Florida State... GAH! Bitter everytime it comes up... The way the 10-man Ohio State game will be for you younger guys 😄 Good for you! Last, I wanted to say how much it touches the hearstrings of those of us who know the University for the way it changed our life's arc when you guys talk about the intangibles one need look for in candidates for the football program. It changed mine in so many ways developmentally, spiritually, and socially, I cannot ever, EVER, repay the depth of the debt I owe. Met my wife because of ND (in Rio of all places), I have three sons because of ND. The concept of what it means to be a well-adjusted and responsible human I owe to the experiences I had there or becaue of the University and its larger community. I taught some of those football heroes of those years, and was fiercly proud of how hard they had to work and how much the football office followed their work - to help them with tutoring and make sure they kept up their timeliness. I was and remain - fiercly proud of them - and the program and the University for what they did and do: NOT to make it easy on them, but to make SURE we didn't make it easy on them. You guys represented us well today. Thank you for reminding those of us who know, and pointing out to those that don't that there is a difference. 🍀🍀🍀Go Irish!
Very true. Week 1 loss without an opportunity to beat another quality opponent until week10/11 vs FSU (a team currently perceived as a quality opponent). Not good. But I think it’s more likely our Irish lose vs A&M.
Woody Hayes first 3 years at Ohio State 16-9-2. He also had more questions than answers (Just like everything in life). One of the answers is three national championships and an induction to the Hall OF Fame.
@@evan1788 If you think all losses are created equal, you really have no idea what ND football is all about ND. Lose that opener at A&M on the road, against a coach in his 1st game, after laying eggs on the road @Louisville & Clemson, and 10 on the field vs Ohio State? You best believe that loss will sting more than any of the others.
the combination of the current OC/DC, has been the best combo this program has had even going back to before the holtz era...so if freeman as you would assume he has to be a better coach than he was in year 1, the addition of those 2 coaches, think about it when as a notre dame fan has either side of the ball had "PROVEN" commodities at both the OC/DC positions
I was more confident with last years team than this years team when it comes to the roster. We have a massively upgraded OC but the O line, WR’s, and QB situation has me very uneasy
Overall team health will play a big role if they get to the post season. They will need to stay healthy especially in key positions. This year’s playoff system will test the deepest teams.
I watched this when I woke up and was still sleepy, but Prister say the WR position was one of the best on the team? Seriousy? If this position is one of the best on ND's team, they are in real trouble. I am very concerned to the LT position as well. In the spring game, they were beat bad a couple times. I would also be concerned that Lambert is being considered as a starter as a freshman.
@@SeveredLegs He's already created & posted hundreds and hundreds of vids. He's supposed to know that a legless malcontent is a newbie and should be coddled accordingly? 🙄
Marijuana must be legal in Indiana! These guys must be smoking something. Let’s just see if they can get 11 players on the field when the game is on the line.
This same Irish squad beat the Buckeyes' collective asses last year at ND Stadium. T. Henderson got a freebie from the B1G officiating crew and Parker had to be on the take not running Estime down the throat of the Buckeye D late in the 4th Q last season.. massive upgrades at every position as well as the coaching staff. Notre Dame is still your Daddy, win, lose or draw. 💯👌🏼☘ Bow down, little boy. 😁
Getting rid of Rees and finally getting beyond his lousy recruiting is a huge step in a positive direction. Replacing him with Mike Denbrock is massive. Go Irish
While I believe this WR unit will be the most effective group of offensive playmakers in DECADES at Notre Dame this upcoming season but.. #1 offensive position group? They may be dead last if ranking all ND offensive position rooms.. even if that is simply by default and due to the fact that RB, QB, OL and TE are so damned loaded this season. RB, QB, TE and OL rooms are no lower than top 5 in the nation.. WR room might be top 10-12 this upcoming season but that can't even be confirmed until after we have seen what they can do over a 6-10 game sample window. Smh lol
Love that you brought Prister on! The man knows his IRISH!
Great guest Tyler. Awesome video. Thanks so much.
Goya Irish! Hugs from México City?can't wait to see'em playing like a champions !!while her loyal sons are marching onward to victory !!
If the offensive line can hold up and get better game by game, it'll be a great season.

This coming from prister. Now I'm excited.

We hear this every year
Accurate. But that’s usually the case for most teams. The preseason is always filled with rainbows and butterflies.
Not from Tim Prister you don't, not at all, reciepts are there
I love ND been a fan for 48 years, been let down many, many times I'll believe we're GREAT when I see it.
Totally agree
There is no way 15 games should be the expectation given what we have seen the last two years.
I think most people are saying 14.
Why not?
@DaveIrish66 because 15 games means winning 2 playoff games. That would be great but that is not the expectation
Expecting to beat a Tulane at home and a Kansas State on a neutral site is not asking very much.
@@Wonderwall627 maybe your expectation. Ask the coaches and players.
Tim Prister is the bomb!
GOOO IRISH 🇺🇸☘️ 🏈
Come up short vs Texas A&M, and the sky will be falling. With a loss you will have a Coach with a 19-9 record, and more questions than answers.

Defensive backfield isn't a top 2 for unit ranking currently (among all the ND units that is)?! What the heck are you talking about?!!
Yeah, you're right. This Irish secondary is the very best in the nation. 💯☘🤷🏽♂️
Let’s pump the breaks.

Get ready for the 4-8 season
Vegas wouldn't give a over under at 10.5 if we weren't a good team they don't wanna lose money. Worst that happens is 9.5 best is 12.0
How can you get a more cake walk schedule.
2006 ND team had higher expectations than this team going into a yr. #2 in country and heisman frontrunner Brady Quinn
