- Hi guys! Summer is near and here around Venice during the weekends is a mess on the roads, expecially on the motorways...a lot of tourists doesn't know (and not doesn't care, I hope) the rules of the motorway...so I made this little tutorial about the most principal things about the "autostrada"...enjoy ;)

Thankfully, by playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 I know how to behave on Italian motorways, but the toll gate and gas station tips were very helpful. :)

in 4:21 in theory we must do as in Germany, when we heard an emergency vehicle, the vehicle must going at the side of the highway to form a central corridor (because if where are a damaged vehicle parked in emergency line this vehicle can block the emergency vehicle in case of necessity), it's only the italian don't does this
Only eight countries in Europe use the emergency corridor: Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Switzerland and Poland

very good and informational........well done. Is Visa accepted on Credit Card lanes at toll pay stations ? Where is the speed limit posted on the Autostrada, still cant figure this out after multiple trips, you never see the signs.
Thank you very much 😄 yes, Visa is accepted...the maximum speed limit, 130 km/h, is never posted (only few motorways have it) usually after a reduce speed limit there is the "finish of all limitations" signal (a white circle with a black bar)

Yes I guess...try the card in a shop before and you will see if it work in Italy 😉
how many tolls will there be driving from marco polo airport to slovenia (via gorizia) roughly.? thanks
Hi, from Marco Polo Airport to Nova Gorica for a car/van the toll is 10.20€ (entry gate is Venezia Est and the exit gate is the Villesse Barrier)

I Shall do Malpensa to Brescia as my wife is pregnant.I believe I have gotten all the information from your tutorial, yet am still worried on any other things that I should be careful well!Few things that I wanted to know;Are the rent a car plate number targeted for fines?Can I use my phone for Google maps?general advice on rent a car - if you are aware please!
Thanx, I really hope you will enjoy to drive in Italy. Rent cars are not a target for fines, they have the same registration plates of private Al vehicles by the way... You can use the phone only to watch the maps, do not touch it while you drive because if a cop see you he could give you a fine...for the rent car remember to film the outside and the inside for possible damages when you will take the car ;)

Hi, which one? Because now there are two big Superstrada in northern Italy. One in Veneto regione and one in Lombardy region near Milan

I see no difference between that, and the New Jersey Turnpike, except on the Jersey Turnpike, everyone drives 140+ including the tractor trailers.
Complimenti, bel tutorial ma se si passa da una corsia per il telepass senza il telepass l'asta non si dovrebbe alzare lo stesso e fare una foto alla targa per poi vedersi recapitare la multa in casa?

no, se nel veicolo nn è presente il telepass e si imbocca una corsia riservata a quest'ultimo la sbarra non si alza, si accendono due semafori rossi e una scritta "STOP" luminosa. Nel caso la sbarra sia sempre bloccata verso l'alto e si passa senza avere il telepass quando si dovrà uscire bisognerà chiedere aiuto ad un operatore.
Se invece la sbarra bloccata è all'uscita, passando quindi senza versare il pedaggio, delle telecamere riprenderanno il numero di targa (per recapitare la richiesta di mancato pedaggio e/o la multa) e si dovrà versare il pedaggio. Ai recidivi o in caso di dolo (cioè se lo hai fatto apposta) è prevista, oltre alla multa, anche una denuncia penale.

True you pay but the best in EU for services area and number of petrol stations!
Yes, we don't have to pay for the toilet but nobody spend hundreds of €uro to pee in other EU nations 😂 and only tourists and mad people buy fuel on motorways 😂 it cost 40/50 cents more than outside 🙈

Are tickets taken at any booth or is there a separate ticket line?
You can take the ticket only at the white or white and yellow gates. Do not use the yellow gates.

@@Exploramix haha...in Italy and in France I've spent the same amount to make 300 km in 2013...I love for sure your national roads (Route Nationale) with 3 lanes and 110 km/h speed limit...here roads like that are very rare!

Can you pay with a mastercard?
Hi...yes, mastercard circuit is accepted...but to be 100% sure that you card will work do this: the first time, when you have to pay the toll, go in the white lane with the automatic cash machine (you can see the symbol at 5:12 in the video) and pay the toll with your card. If the payment is accepted next time you can use the blue lane, where the probability to find a queue is very low ;)
