    This is very small for all those rabbits, even for one😢 And the bottom of the cage can damage their feet since they are very sensetive. It would be much better for them to have solid ground to walk on. And please give them 10x more hay😅

      I think you should raise your rabbits, however, you see fit, but there are some challenges when allowing your Rabbits to share open ground
      This video shares more: ruclips.net/video/MikAVg3cccE/видео.htmlfeature=shared
      Rabbits need about 70% hay to pellet diet. You can monitor their intake by watching how fast they’re eating it
      cage floor bottoms: These allow the manure and urine to fall through, keeping your rabbit clean and breaking the lifecycle of coccidiosis. Rabbits have a sufficient amount of hair and padding on the hock. That’s why so many Rabbitry productions use them. As you stated, Rabbits are very sensitive. But again, I think you should raise your rabbits however, you want and through your experience you can make adjustments. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

    That hay feeder would last one day in with my rabbits they would chew it right apart they chew the inside of the cage apart plus I had shelves in the grow old cage so they could jump around on different levels they chewed those apart

      Sounds like it really wouldn’t work well for that situation, but maybe for a pet rabbit or something to add to your rabbitry for a byproduct

      I just get wire baskets from the dollar store cut one side out of them and then wire them to the door and then put hay in that not wood@@TheRabbitryCenter

      I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. If you're losing rabbits, it's time to purge the cages and Rabbitry of any bacteria, cleaning the bowls and the feeders, the Cage floor bottoms, recheck your feed supply make sure everything is clean and dry free of bacteria or mold, maintain a strict diet feeding a half ounce of pellet per pound, so your rabbits don't get too big. provide them a high fiber diet with a fresh water. I hope things turn around for you.

    Its sad to see the wired base for the cage. Pls use rabbit cage pads for the flooring. This can hurt the rabbits badly.

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  2 месяца назад

      That’s a common misconception. Don’t be sad, rabbits are raised with cage floor bottoms to break the life cycle of cocidiosis. That’s why the biggest and best productions use them. You want the manure and urine to fall through the cage keeping your rabbit clean and disease free. Leading cause of Sore hocks is stress on the hock caused by a poor diet. Most likely getting over fed which can be fixed with a more disciplined diet. More information on this video. ruclips.net/video/XWdn06fZurU/видео.htmlfeature=shared

    Great idea to keep the hay from falling down through the cage. Do the rabbits gnaw on the wood?

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  Год назад +3

      Absolutely. Rabbits will slowly chew on the wood when it’s empty which will help there teeth stay in check and also cure boredom. Keeping hay in the feeder will prevent that.

      Try not to get too big too soon. Most folks over feed and over breed. Be disciplined in your diet and set out a small goals and achieve one at a time. If there's a topic your interested in , type "the rabbitry center ______."
      And what your looking for. Chances are We've made a video on it. If we haven't we'll make one for you.

    Hello, can you share with me what kind of pellet feed materials you use for rabbits?

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  Год назад

      16% protein and 16-17% Fiber
      All brands are a little different so it's important to read the labeling

    Hey bobby , love the content! I have question for you, I have a doe that just pulled fur 2 weeks early. Should I consider this a false pregnancy and rebreed right away or wait til day 34 or 35 just in case she is pregnant. She is proven several times and is always a early nest builder

    • @biolaoshodi7131
      @biolaoshodi7131 Год назад

      Just mate her again

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  Год назад +1

      If she has a history of building nests early, I'd just be patient and hope for the best in the future I'd try test breeding 5-7 days after breeding the first time to help avoid any false litters. You can try palpating 10-14 days in as well.

    Nice idea. Have you thought of leaving the bottom section open? Your boxes leave a 'dead zone' that the rabbits can't get to. Do you find that the hay at the bottom of the feeders gets wasted?

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  Год назад +3

      We have other videos, showing how to build hay baskets out of 1 by 2 inch cage wire. Those work well too but you get more waste below the cage.
      It may not look like it but the rabbits can empty these and get every last little piece of hay out. These sell at a higher price too. They look a little bit better and they hold hay longer if you'd like to cut down on waste below the cage. I recommend building all three pricing them differently, and giving your customers a choice. I'd give the 100% wood hay basket a premium price. Best of luck!
