My ex did construction on casinos during 80'&90's in Vegas.
He wouldn't let us "family" go watch the implosions. He said none of it is good to breath .. all of it has bad chemicals concrete dust etc. that could do harm long term. Buildings are built to stay intact. Watch it on video Stay Safe 🧨🎇🤯💯

I'm about 85% confident at this point that the Tropicana site is going to remain a fenced-off, vacant dirt lot for the better part of this next decade: given Bally's major financial struggles (I predict Bally's sells the Tropicana site before the end of this year) and the ballpark proposal looking likely to make the ballot via referendum: which if it does will all but surely doom its fate.

sounds like a boomer. vegas has and always will be an entertainment town, there is no reason its taken this long for it to have its own sports teams.. there is no town better for major league sports entertainment. its a city built on the ruins of once iconic casinos. nothing new. its better than another Fontainebleau or resorts world. good to diversify the cities revenue and not have a city entirely dependent on casinos and gambling. which are far more vulnerable to economic down turns, as shown by vegas being the hardest hit city in the 08 recession

We all know of asbestos, but what about the rest of that dust? It can't be good to breathe at all even after all the asbestos removed. All the other implosions show massive clouds of dust. How do they deal with that?

The “asbestos” regulations are a complete racket. You can get a higher asbestos air sample reading just standing on a street corner.
And u think the past implosions were SAFE? Hell no!
That's why they performed them at night. The Air Quality people use a gauge that requires light to measure the dust. No Light=No Fine.
Don't trust anyone I watched a company come in from Indiana and they didn't take it out properly... remember Sept 11
They never get it all out. They use wiggle room like "All Identified" or "All Found" but never an absolute like "All". If you have ever seen an air monitoring report there almost always some asbestos along with lead, mould, etc. etc.
