I have the 88 Films box set versions of Absurd and Anthrophogus. Both films, and this Italian horror genre grows more and more to my liking with each repeated viewing. Low budget, quirky and sometimes repulsive results in BIG fun. Includes some good interviews and extras. I'm hoping 88 Films will give the same treatment to my other Joe D'amato fave Beyond the Darkness.
I have Beyond The Darkness and I liked it. I’d definitely buy a 4K it would be interesting to see the new cover artwork.
I got my copy of this in the post last Saturday and Anthro a few days before. Looking forward to watching them both again. Only watched Absurd for the first time a couple of months back and thouroughly enjoyed it on a 1080p rip so being able to watch it in 4k should be a treat. Also picked up a cheeky copy of Zombie Holocaust to upgrade from my regular bluray. Plenty of dodgy horror to be getting on with 🙂
I enjoyed Zombie Holocaust, good shlock! I thought Absurd looked brilliant on 4K. I prefer Anthropophagous overall. Both are great nasty Italian horror flicks. I’m looking forward to seeing what other bizarre horror 88 put out on 4K. 👌😎😃

Never seen this movie before mate it's weird that some obscure films have 4 k releases but Zulu mars attacks planet of the apes etc it does my head in lol frustrating 😊
I want Once upon a time in America to get a 4K. These labels mainly specialise in obscure horror man. Vinegar Syndrome aren’t going to put Zulu out. I know what you mean though. I found my Mars Attacks DVD the other day.

@@stuartgeorge2324 I do too mate. It’s up to the studios to get the mainstream stuff out on 4K. Arrow venture into that area now which is kind of cool. Zulu will get a 4K and Planet of the apes 🦧 I ordered the steelbook for Kingdom of the Planet of the apes. This could be a first on the channel 😅 me unboxing a new mainstream movie.
