"Starting at $40,000 with commercial-level capabilities, the Pro-MP is the best firewood processor for the money on the market. At this price point, both firewood entrepreneurs and industry veterans can profit from the Pro-MP in a short amount of time.
Let’s take a more in-depth look at the Pro-MP’s return on investment.
For $40,000 you will get a full-frame processor that can handle 24-inch diameter logs and logs in excess of 32 feet in length, plus a standard 4-Way Wedge and table grate.
So, you have $40,000 in startup costs, but you need a loader, so you add another $20,000 onto your startup costs for a $60,000 total.
Now, you decide to finance your startup costs over a 5-year term with a 10 percent interest rate and a $10,000 down payment. As a result, you have a monthly payment of $1,062.27.
You have all the equipment you need and you are ready to start splitting. With the maintenance of your equipment, you will have about $170 in hourly costs.
Each hour you process 1 and a half cords of firewood with the Pro-MP. You sell a cord for $200, so 1 and a half cords would be $300, and you charge $50 for a delivery fee. Your hourly revenue will be around $350, leaving you with an hourly profit of $180.
So, what does this mean for your return on investment?
If you process wood with the Pro-MP for 40 hours each month, you will profit around $7,200 per month and will pay off your machine in 9 months if you continue to process firewood at this rate.
60 hours each month and you will profit around $11,000 per month and pay off your machine in 6 months. 80 hours each month and you will profit around $15,000 per month and pay off your machine in 5 months. 100 hours per month and you will profit around $18,000 per month and pay off your machine in 4 months.
    The choice is yours."

FINALLY, someone builds an affordable processor and breaks down the cost and profits. The problem is not having the cold weather like use to..

Ya that's if people are purchasing firewood.

Yeah but the big thing is your wood should dry for a year before selling so that’s a year in the hole

For those that heat their homes with firewood, they are used to buying it green and well in advance so it can be properly dried. If your customer based is recreational burners that want ready to burn wood now, then I agree with your statement.

this analysis is very misleading because it's not explaining the costs of timber, fuel, vehicle, and many other expenses in addition to the processor/loader costs; I would be very skeptical of the premise of this video

Either listen again or read the caption, hourly costs (wood, fuel, maintenance) are included in the calculations. Try our ROI calculator to see for yourself -> portal.timberwolfequip.com/roi-calculator/?Machine=2023%20Firewood%20Processor%20PRO-MP

@@TimberwolfEquip Can you break down what you are figuring in for the hourly maintenance? I am curious what this is figuring in.

For hourly costs we factored in fuel, small tool maintenance, truck maintenance, machine maintenance, and the cost of the logs. This will differ across machines and customers, but we figure that it comes out to about $170 per hour with the Pro-MP. There are plenty of million dollar firewood businesses that start with a lot less than this awesome MP. Here is a hint. If you are afraid of investing in yourself and your business, you will never grow.
