    I didn't know you had
    "saw-teach".
I noticed some of the European saw blades come from the side so they are right close anyway.
I know it takes energy to lift the saw up all the time but I don't know how much.
I guess it could be calculated based on the definition of a horsepower. One horsepower would be what a normal horse could do which is a certain amount of foot pounds per second.

I think this is a fantastic idea, I was talking to Doug about a standalone “purpose built” blocking machine a few months ago specifically for the guys that have your high production splitters. The bottle neck ends up being the cutting and having a smaller live deck with a cutter would accompany a lot of your splitters very well! Sign me up!!

Any reason to use an Eastonmade product is a good reason! If you're an operation that makes cord wood and bundle wood and use and Axis or a splitter with a box wedge for that then doing what you're doing to make the rounds makes perfect sense. Much faster and less effort than using a chainsaw and you get consistent sizing without having to measure and mark each log. Dave

Years ago I ws using my bandsaw mill but a couple years ago I was using my old chainsaw wood processor and it was way faster with less problems and no setup time and no need for special jig to hold the blocks. never used a circler blade processor but I am sure it would work fine.. I would take the splitting wedge out and let like 4 or 5 cookies fall down and use slipping wedge to push them on to conveyer. I think your way is better but mine didn't have a side chute
