    I did that conversion, and that.s with a 351W engine. Had a small upper, but had to remove the valve cover to install the booster. The problem I had was it was hard to get to the number 8 spark plug. So I ended up going to a hydroboost set up, which had it's own issues, but now works very well. Now there is a ton of room between the hydroboost unit and the engine...

      @@Mattsneedforspeed Here is more information to add to the fun. It's a stroked 390W and also has a vortech supercharger that produces just over 5 pounds of boost. While I was working it was my daily driver, and averaged 17 mpg.

      yea, exactly i'm not a real fan having to hammer the strut tower but i'm sure once I see how much better the brakes work i might be able to get over it.

    Hey man, great video,lot of work, this is something i might end up doing one of these days, i wanted to pick your brain and see if you had any ideas about this issue I'm having.
    I have a 91 and i put a 347 in it about a year ago to the date,i never had any issues with the brakes and the booster,its not the greatest but zero issues,about 2 weeks ago my brakes started to act wanky with your classical brake booster failing issue due to low vaccum however i have done that test when you pump the pedal a few times and turn on the car and it goes to the floor meaning there is vacuum there however it does this sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
    I have done just about every test,vacuum is a solid 15 at the motor which with my setup i have read is pretty common, problem is i never measured vacuum before till i had the problem so i m not sure if that changed at some point, i actually bought a reservoir and that didn't help which is odd and points me to a bad booster but it also seems like its not the booster, any ideas? lol, if its low vacuum why did it wait a year to start acting up?
    I have no problem whatsoever changing the booster but would like to avoid it if possible, i checked the vacuum tree for other things leaking and everything is A ok,im pretty much stumped, thank you for any ideas you might wanna throw my way.

      if i remember the 347 will have a little less vac but a cam will affect it more did you separate the master cyl from the booster to check for master leaking into the booster? not knowing how old your hoses are one could have collapsed or a caliber locked up will cause a hard peddle, has the fluid been flushed id pull wheels and check sliders and bleed the system the cylinder in the caliber should push in easy if its hard its bad just what id try / look at first

    You don't need that three into two crap it's a waste of money you just need the proportion valve and the driver side front hard brake line from a SN95

      @Mattsneedforspeed  8 месяцев назад +1

      the parts your talking about would need to come from a non-abs car the gs model or a v6, I'm doing a complete rebuild and upgrade i used the stainless brake line kit for a 93 cobra with stainless hose's just went with everything new

    You also need a proportioning valve and a plug for the factory proportioning valve after you pull the guts out of it

      I already have that bought them from my local ford dealer when i did the brake upgrade 12 years ago here is a video on all i did ruclips.net/video/WKvUNFBRFxE/видео.html

      @@Mattsneedforspeed The reason I mentioned it is because I didn't see anything mentioned in I this video I did finally watch your other video when I bought my car it already was 5 lug swapped and rear disc's with cobra front brakes and notice the brakes didn't seem very good for being upgraded then I started looking at the brakes and realized it still has the factory master cylinder so purchased a 94 95 master and line adapter plug and proportioning valve still haven't got them yet being shipped from lmr right now may end up getting the cobra brake booster if I'm still not happy after install
