However, William Kimbel (Arizona State Univ) argues in this talk that recent fossil and stone tool discoveries call for a new evaluation of factors involved in the origin and the early evolution of Homo. A lovely lecture, well-argued from the evidence.
With DNA harvesting being pushed farther and farther back into time, I cannot wait until a known _Homo erectus_ sample is found. It would be wonderful if it matches the unknown Archaic DNA that contributed to Neanderthal & Denisovans and therefore Sapiens. It would be equally important, though _very_ frustrating, if it did not match.
