Impact should 100% get the MVP and I think Massu deservers the rookie (mostly because Thanatos only played for half the year and I think all the other rookies were too inconsistent). I'm only going to do 1st All-Pro team Top: Impact Jng: Blaber (I could see Inspired here as well) Mid: APA ADC: Berkerker Sup: CoreJJ
I would go with Yeon over Berserker, but having Blaber in the jungle spot is very based. Impact’s performance this split is one of the greatest collections of games in LCS history. The way he dominated his lane opponents was rivaled only by Thanatos, but Impact’s mastery over lane swaps is truly what separates him from the rest of the field.
@@ethangilworth7891I think funnily every role besides solo lanes can be argued for 1st team, with both solos for TL being uncontested best in role during this split. And pretty much every other role is just who you have on 1st team vs 2nd - Blaber or Inspired, Berserker or Yeon, Core or Vulcan.
@@ethangilworth7891 Eh, depends on what you value. Core was pretty consistent but TL as a team overall were just cracked, and C9 had rocky moments even in their 2-0's with Vulcan actually being arguably as consistent with some standout games to get the team over the hump in some situations. And the Inspired argument is like the yin to the Umti argument's yang - basically, what do you value more, the individual carry potential or the pure selfless teamplay facilitator/initiator? Blaber kinda splits the difference, but the argument for Inspired is that he was more individually valuable compared to the rest of his team. And for Umti, it was that, while you can argue he was just a roleplayer in the TL machine, he was arguably a far better/cleaner and more consistent facilitator and engager than Blaber was for C9. Again, just a matter of personal perspective. I'm a C9 fan and firmly believe the TL reps aside from maybe Umti deserve the 1st team nod and deservedly so. And even for Umti, seeing lists where people put him out of All Pro altogether feels like total disrespect to what he brings to that team. Umti is basically Xmithie for this TL team (fittingly), and I genuinely don't think they are able to pull off what they do with their map movements in the early game without a completely selfless jungler like Umti at the helm.
Been a fan since curse era I am so glad TL is the team it is right now and I always believed they will push it to the top. I just pray it will translate to internationals results this worlds!
The problem for all pro right now is the two top candidates in bugi and Tomo have just not played enough games. But those two, look like serious contenders for valuable players.
I think C9 is learning Fast. A lot faster than TL. I think their first match in upper bracket will be a close C9 win but the finals will be a stomp. For All Pro 1. Team: Impact, Blaber, APA, Berserker, Vulcan 2. Team: Thanatos, Inspired, Jojo, Yeon, CoreJJ 3. Team Bwipo, Umti, Quad, Massu, Busio For me Blaber HAS to be All Pro Jungler because he playd carrys vs Inspired, The carry guy, and tanks vs Umti, the tank guy, and matched them at their strenghts. So if you have a player who can do both at a really high level he has to better than the 2 "otps". Now Vulcan is my MVP of the split. I doubt he will get it and I think Impact also deserves it but rewatching the games I REALLY think Vulcan is carrying C9 to success in a lot of these wins. He is just everywhere all the time while staying even in Gold and exp. Vulcan is playing his by far best split ever and no on is really noticing it
My All-pro would be Impact, Blaber, Quad, Yeon, and Core. I'd really consider APA for mid but he had a few int moments during the split that would have been a lot more noticeable if his team wasn't so solid to cover up the mistakes. Quad on the other hand had basically zero JG proximity and I can't recall as many bad plays from him
I'm sad to see DIG v 100T right out the gate. I really dont want either to lose up front. But I'm a DIG fan so I gotta root for a chance at world's for them.
I echo your bracket predictions, those are solid predictions. I do think 100T could be the dark horse here and beat out FLY for the 3rd spot at worlds. It will be interesting to see how far DIG or NRG get this year. Also, as a C9 fan, I'm looking forward to a 3-2 finals vs TL. Jatt said long ago that when TSM and C9 are playing against each other in a playoff finals, it is good for the league (fan hype, content, revenue & viewership, etc). TSM is gone, but TL occupies that role now for me, and I can't get enough of the TL vs C9 games. It's good for the league, good for the fans, no matter who wins. Looking forward to worlds this year! Can't wait to see how well TL and C9 do against the other regions this time around.
For top player outside of top 3, id give it to Bugi. No hate to Tomio but the way Bugi's presence elevated his team towards the end of the split was impressive.
You could possibly make an argument for bugi over blaber for how he turned around that team but other than that nobody deserves to be in over the top 3 team players
WHich player could end up sneaking into All Pro.... dude honestly no one. Maybe Bugi over Umti. Umti had a pretty bad split imo comapred to his spring. Also if Tomo played like this all split he would have been above Massu for me but yeah I do not expect any surprises.
